This year they are just going to expand on the difference.

No, what you meant to say was that they're adding features but not enough of them to trump COD.
Battlefield can't win on name alone and that means it need features and Activision throws down the gauntlet almost 2 weeks ahead of everyone else and the best EA can do is take some of the ideas?
Really?
It's pathetic that EA would cower like that.
Who has the better name recognition? COD
Who has the most features? COD
It's obvious that EA knows it doesn't have a good enough game in Battlefield to go toe to toe with COD and that's why they're not putting up a fight, maybe next round DICE will make a better game and EA will have no problems supporting it.
As of now all this says is that EA doesn't think this game is good enough
Modern Warfare 3 now has very destructible environments. Call of Duty took that to compete with Battlefield 3. Both companies realize this is going to be a battle and are both using ideas that are out there. And honestly, some of the stuff you are saying is ridiculous. How does Modern Warfare 3 have more features? I would truly love to hear it.Yes, that's how Modern Warfare is staying ahead of Battlefield.
Battlefield had something so Modern Warfare took it, now here comes the Elite package that allows dedicated users the most ever when it comes to the series and Battlefield fails to match them.
When Activision brought up Elite EA had two options
1. Match them step by step and offer the same thing for the same or lower price
2. Offer all of it for free
Option 1 would have put them 1a 1b when it comes to the two franchises and option 2 would have possibly had the series leapfrog over COD for the top spot.
Instead they come out and say "we're going to offer less features and it's free"? Of course it's free because it's less then what your competitors offer.
