bit from reading the article is wasn't the actually gaming that killed him... wasn't it the fact he sat down for too long not eating and concentrating on the television... this could happen from just watching TV couldn't it? 3DSTICKMANYeah, it could happen to anyone who was sitting in the same place for long periods of time. Whatever the case may be, I don't want to exactly die from sitting on my *** all day. Although I don't spend 12 hours sitting in one place, I do spend a lot of time on the computer.

I agree. Though it sounds like this guy did nothing but play xbox. So would sit in the same position for hours eveyday.
Doing ANYTHING for 12 hours straight can be detrimental to your health, every year people collapse/die participating in marathon's, triathlon's and ironman events...
All articles like this do is help to perpetuate that gaming is bad. Moderation and variety are the keys to a healthy and happy life.
12 hours? And he died from that? I've sessions a lot longer than that.
Also, I love when journalists mess up. "Dies after playing too much Halo 4."
yeah but what about people who sit on planes for 12hours? they dont die... I think its because when you play games your brain is constantly concentrating... 12hrs of concentration on one thing cant be good for your brain.. 3DSTICKMANLoads of people have died from DVT brought on by long flights.
People....he didn't develop the clot from sitting straight for 12 hrs only once. It developed from over time from playing hours on end!!!!!
Blood clots can form whether you move around or not, it just depends how your body handles them. Blood clots can form inside the body but regularily they are removed quite easily. This could happen to anyone even the most active of people, but if one seriously has a problem with blood clots they should look into some Anti-Coagulants such as Warfaren or Heparin.
he wasnt in the healthiest condition possible judging buy his picture. When im playing video games i constantly move. I pause and get somthing to eat. I cant do anything that still for 12 hours strait accept sleep. And i cant even do that for 12 hours strait.

Well id go as far to say that videogames stimulate the brain, and for brain activity are good. If your playin g a video game your focusing on all aspect of the game not one specific detail in the game.
the guy looks fat, i bet if he was in better shape this would not have happened. also, he's a f***ing idiot for playing for the amount of time that he did.

honestly i think that's total BS, i don't have any scientific data to back that up thoughNooooope. Has nothing to do with the Xbox, it has to do with sitting around on your ass for too long.
honestly i dont see how anyone could sit in the same position for that long. i play video games for hours on end, but i have to move after like 30 minutes. i usually change my seat(move to a different place to sit) like 20-30 times in about 3 hours:P
im not sure how people can sit still that long.
