it looks amazing, but for some reason so far im finding that i dont like it too much. It's all too confusing to me and a bit hard for me to understand. I don't know i just expected alot more, but i'll wait and see until i get farther and see if i change my mind.

It's okay. But a little too repetitive for my tastes. I'm probably about half way through, but have no real desire to continue, knowing that I'll have to do the same types of investigations over and over. Don't get me wrong, I like the gameplay mechanics, graphics, and story, but there's just not enough variation to keep me interested for very long.

I was just fixing to ask a question about this game. How long is it?? I like it as well but it gets a bit repetitive.

it was good for awhile, but overall it doesnt have much replay value and the story is terrible.

The game play is good, the graphics are nice, would just be better with more variety of missions and a decent story.

That is exactly true. I just finished my 4th assassination, and while I would like to finish it, doing the same thing another 5 times seems a bit much. And also, yes, the game does look amazing, but for some reason I do not find the world to be pulling me in as much as, say, Shadow of the Colossus. I don't know why this is, but exploring the amazingly crafted world just doesn't seem as fulfilling as it should.

15-20 hours depending on how much free-roaming you end up doing.

There are nine assassinations in each of the three districts of Damascus, Acre, and Jerusalem. Then I imagine there's some sort of final showdown. In terms of hours, I have no idea. It really depends on how many high points you climb and how many investigations you complete. I'm climbing everything and doing all the investigations so it's taking a very long time. Kinda feels like a chore. And no, I have no plans on collecting all the flags.

i think the best way to play is to do 1 assassination then free roam for a bit, so u dont get bored of the repetitve missions

i love the game. for me, the gameplay makes up for the repetitiveness, i never get tired of it. i've played it 2 times and working on my 3rd.

so, i love it.

I really enjoyed it, does get repetitive but best looking game, the cities look amazing! Needed more work on the side-missions but overall a must buy. Their save system is a bit crappy, if you start a new game, guess what?! All your previous saves are nowhere to be found which really sux!!!

I hated it at first but gave it a second shot and ended up loving the experience despite some big gameplay flaws. Don't give up on it too quickly, it gets better.

If they improved the fightning mechanics, added more then just eaves dropping and pick pocketing then i think it'd be worth all the credit/hype it got.. But without all those things, i think it's medicore game at best.. I was disapointed, but not as disapointed as when i purchased AO2.

Maybe if they had let the story out of the bag after the third or fourth assasination (the fact that you are remembering your ancestors' actions) would it have been more interesting. The way they give away the story up front and then badger you with incredibly repetitive gameplay ... I think they needed more diversity in the missions and their conclusions... Rented, didn't finish, not going to bother with the sequel.

No offense to anyone who enjoyed it, but I thought it was one of the worst games I've played through in recent memory. I forced myself to play through it because of all of the hype, but I really did not understand any of the praise it received. I found the story dull and tedious, the gameplay repetitious, and the A.I. extremely dumb. Not only that but there was no challenge in the game whatsoever. There were some aspects that were fun, like when you are actually plotting your assassination and getting to your target, and the graphics were quite good, but nothing could redeem the games faults. A big disappointment for me personally and I do envy those who liked it, I really wanted to.

I didn't hate the game but I didn't like it that much either. It was way overhyped. I don't see why people love it so much, I guess they've still got the hype high.

Calling Assassin's Creed a masterpiece is insulting to all the true masterpieces out there. It doesn't even approach the flawed masterpiece level.

Overall i liked it. The graphics were nice and the free climbing was fantastic. But once i finished it there was no reason to go back and play again, i sure as hell was not going to collect all the flags. Good amount of achievment points for one run through. Only game i ever traded to gamestop, maybe that means something.

The actual assassinations were fun. But that was just like 10% of the game. The repetativeness of the information gathering missions made me feel like this was a glorified demo of sequels to come.

I very much enjoyed it. People tend to through around the word repetitive quite a bit when talking about this game. Honestly though what does it mean to play a game? You push buttons and see animations, every game is repetitive, what it comes down to is whether or not you like seeing the corresponding animations. Every game is repetitve in its own way, look at shooters (Which I do enjoy btw) Run, shoot, occasionaly hide. Fighting games? Beat the snot out of your opponent, learn some combo's all of which end up doing what? That's right beating the snot out of your opponent. Not to mention the most repetitve genre of all sports. Yet all of these genres have fun to play games despite being repetitve. People that dislike this game just didn't like what they were seeing, and thus got no gratification out of playing.

It got majorly repetitive. Go to a city, find out more info on assassination, find all the look out points, help people in the streets about to get killed.

Wasn't worth the 60 dollars IMO because of the repetition and virtually zero replay value. I enjoyed the first few missions though.
