did everyone hate COD 3?

i heard that treyarch, the guys that did COD3, are going to be doing COD5, and then i saw backlash of those who hated COD3 and nothing else..

personally, i liked COD3 and played alot of it...granted, i did not play the story mode, just online because it carried on from COD2...but does no one like COD3? and if so, what was wrong with it?

I loved CoD3 but then again I love every call of duty game its easily my favorite series.

Treyarch is not making Call of Duty 5, and Call of Duty 3 was horrible i think.

COD 3 had good online (better then cod2)... but the singleplayer in COD3 was terrible, one of hte worst singleplayer shooters ive ever played...

So in the end the online was cool on cod3, but the singleplayer was straight garbage

i had it and liked it a lot, but i only used to play online, i completed it the week b4 cod4 come out on the campain because i though if i dont play it now i never will. was ok but online was the best way to play the game, which is what i think call of dutys is a online heavey game

Thought it all pales in comparison to COD4

I purely played it for the multiplayer. I logged many hours with this one on Live. I loved the multiplayer. Still a ton of fun to play. Heh, now that I think about it, I never even loaded up the single player game one time. :)

Treyarch is not making Call of Duty 5, and Call of Duty 3 was horrible i think.

Treyarch IS making COD 5, its been announced.......not sure where your getting your info

Cod3 is the first, and only, game i have ever sold. So, yea, i hated it.

I didn't hate cod3. i hated ww2 games. modern comabt will have its run. they of ocurse it will get boring. too many shooters these days. they will beat shooters to death until its just a fad.

It was a pretty good game but not anywhere near as good as CoD, CoD 2, or CoD 4.

Beating CoD 3 on veteran was a lot of fun, nothing beats randomly dying, getting gunned down a second after a level loads, etc.

I disliked it for these reasons

1) they took out the russian campaign for the canadian and polish(wtf canadians participated in WWII)

2) No captain price, he was in 1,2,4 but no 3 why because it wasnt done by infinity ward.

3) this only goes through one battle in WWII, in previous COD games the premise is to go through WWII, not just one battle from WWII.

4) Online was lackluster

5)single player campaign was weak

6) cut scenes were blah

I don't hate COD3 but I don't think that it was anywhere near as good as COD2 and COD4. I got really irritated with all the little glitches, especially getting stuck on terrain so often, man did that pi$$ me off.

Also, I've never played COD3 online so I don't know what that's like.

Sorry to burst your bubble chief but it has already been announced by Infinity Ward that they and Treyarch switch off every other year now to have a Call of Duty release every year. This was announced around when CoD4 was first shown. Everyone knows this... Though it hasn't been officially confirmed that 5 will be WW2 or not only a handful rumors since it was said Treyarch would make CoD5 after Modern Warfare.
