*May contain minor spoilers*

From the get go I never really focused much on the stock since I don't have xbox live and one of the markets relies on being online. Anyways, I'm at 50% of the game and figured it's now or never. So, when I did Lester's construction assassination, I invested all of Franklin's money before completing the mission and Trevor's and Michael's money right after completing the mission (a guide said that you can still invest after completing if you do it quickly). That's 150k for Franklin and Trevor and about 550k for Michael. I've played about 2 side missions going on the third and maybe a couple days in game has passed, and when I check the market they only make half of it back, even Franklin. Did I do something wrong?

P.S. Do you unlock more missions by buying properties?

I did the same. I invested all my money on beta pharmaceuticals during the mission with Franklin, then with Trevor and Michael but I took the time to explore a bit and see where the stock goes and I noticed that after about 20 minutes (real time) it was at a peak high of about a 230,000 profit with Franklin so after I waited for a bit and it remained unchanged, I sold all my stocks at that point with all three characters. You have another chance at this. Invest in debonaire for the next Lester mission. But try not to save the game in a safe house because then you can't control if the stock drops drastically. Just quick save and maybe 1 side mission is fine (20 minute window) but if I were you I would restart to another save if you have any earlier saved games, because you should try to gain as much money as you can from betta pharmacueitcals then invest in debonaire with all you have for a max profit. Hope this helps

The only save game I have is after the construction assassination, and I've played like 5 or 6 missions after that even, so reloading is gonna be a pain but I guess I don't have a choice. Will try to load back and wait 20 minutes. Thanks for the advice.

You have to make sure you invest in the right company. DON'T invest in the company whose CEO you are killing, and peak prices for stocks happen around 8 in game hours after the assassination, so don't take too long.

Also, if you haven't done the Redwood Cigarettes one, after buying and selling Debonaire stock, Redwood jumps back from the event so make sure you invest in Redwood and you'll make a fortune.

Also, if you haven't beaten the game, I'd save Lester's missions for after The Big Score for maximum profits. You could make upwards of 1 billion dollars with some smart stock market choices.

*SPOILERS* As far as I know there's only 5 Lester missions and the construction one is the last one, so I can't do any of those. I'm pretty sure I waited for more than 8 hours checking every minute or so, but the price of Gold Coast only went up tll about 50%. Oh well, i'm too far ahead already to reload. It's been down for quite sometime now, hopefully I it goes up a little at least and I'll sell it. What is the use of having all the money anyways? aside from investing it in properties to get you more money? With the first heist itself you have enough money to buy guns, mod cars and get clothes till your satisfied, so I don't really see the point. Kinda goes against the plot too, to have millions in your pocket. I guess it was meant to be done after the game is over like you said.
