did lionhead lie?

i'm considering buying fable 2 but when i played fable 1 i felt slightly let down after the developers said it was full to the brim of content..... is fable 2 empty apart from the story line or are there lots of side quests and miscellaneous things to do in the game?

the main thing im worried about is just the fact i dont wanna spend all the money i just got on a game that may not even last me that long

well... this time, you don't get money for doing main quests... so if you want better weapons, nice houses gifts for families, etc... you're going to have to take jobs; which can be: wood-cutting, blacksmith, and bartender. Which can keep you occupied for a while... however, you can also invest in houses and rent them out, and this is where I think the game is flawed, because it is waayy to easy to gain money this way. You don't even have to have the xbox on to earn money this way.

There are also plenty of side-quests to keep u playing as well. So, to answer your question... yes, there is enough to keep you playing, it's just the story that didn't excite me that much... great game though

Its way too short, if you want a game for longevity and story then Fable 2 is sadly not it. I found the story compelling but very short and very easy. There are plenty of side quests but a dedicated gamer could easily have it all wrapped up in 2 weeks or less.

I would say Rent Fable 2 to be honest, see if you like it then consider buying it.

Spoilers in terms of number of outfits to wear and quests types, weapons.

Its a great game and has its wonderful moments. If your expecting to be blown away with content. . .well you probably will not be. There are not a whole lot of side quests I would say about 10-15 and they are pretty short (a dungeon at the most). If you add demon doors thats about ten more. If you add grabbing keys and other objects (I'll try not to spoil it!) then add two more long searching quests. There is not a whole lot of outfits (no armor). The side quests have very little story to them (save a few). But I HOPE that there will be more downloadable content which will make this game really worth it. Is it worth the money. Hell yeah, perhaps I liked it so much I just want more.There are few legendary weapons, probably about ten. The main story is way too short--really just about three five sections of quests. I think it took about 2 1/2 weeks to be played out pretty much.

I don't think Lionhead has died in any way. And i like what I have played of both Fable games myself, so it depends on the gamer.Ovirew

not die, LIE. like what they said about open world envoirment...ya in 2 zones you can run across a field, the rest are just pathways like fable 1.

but they did the same thing for fable 1 to hype it, i remember reading one thing that said you dont even have to do the quest, you can just fish and stuff, then you load up the game and find out that fishing does nothing
