DId they Ruin MW2 with the Killstreaks?

LIke seriously, u get a new killstreak award every freaking kill. Thats way to much. shouldve just left it at 3-5-7-10-15-20-25

i dont think its a bad idea at all... you have to remember though that not all of those are actuall kill streak awards i guess.... they are also supply drops which anyone can get... i think its going to make things interesting.

The kill streaks are what I believe to have ruined MW in general. Awarding a player for doing well is one thing but to allow him to keep destroying his opposition ruins the competitive aspect.

I played alot of MW when it first came out and after a wile I wasnt enjoying it. Because it was pretty much 2-3 people with all the kills because of kill streaks alone.

Now I understand that a player should be awarded for doing well, but my point is if your on the loosing end and the guy who just killed you gets a helicopter (witch when I played for some reason always whent after me.) and gets even more kills with out doing anything just doesnt work in my books. And now theres death streaks? Wonder why....

But that being said and how stubborn I am, I am going to be geting MW2 on relese day :D lol

No, i don't think they ruinied it. All though, adding to that, I don't feel that it's needed. At long as they make the streaks fair for each amount of kills, then it's fine.

As everyones said we cant judge till we play it for our selfs, to be fair im looking forward to the new features they have put into the game it will make it more interesting lol =]

As a hardcore COD4 fan, I think customizable killstreaks is a great idea. It adds a whole new dynamic to the game. You have to decide which killstreak works well with your gameplay style. As for unlocking a new kill streak for every kill. I think you're exaggerating a bit. There's going to be a limit to how many killstreaks you can use in one life. Personally, I think it's awesome to be rewarded for killing more people in one life.

No. In order to get those killstreaks you have to die......a lot. You pretty much have to go out of your way to die as much as you can to get those things which will lead to you never winning a game. It's balanced fine.

You can only use 3 with one class, if you got 25 kills in a row you wouldn't recieve every killstreak bonus under that, only the three you chose.

I think it will be fine. And I'm getting this game as soon as possible.

It's nice that there'll be some variation now in the matches.

I just love how no one reads anything anymore. The deathstreaks are not a "special power" as someone put it. There's 2 deathstreaks, one gives u a sort of juggernaut health boost but only for the first 10 seconds or so, and another gives u the option of taking the last person who killed you's weapon loadout.

They already ruined the game with Stopping Power and Juggernaut...

You only get 3 streaks and you can customize them.. depending on what streak(s) you choose, you have to get the required kills to obtain those streaks... so no you do not get a killstreak every kill.

yea no kidding. people hate so much on the game before it's even out.

I'm almost positive that MW2 isn't giving perks at every kill. I wathced a CTF gameplay video and the player didn't get one every kill. He got one at 3...5...and 7....

Also where are you getting this 3...5...7...10...15...20...25 nonsense from. CoD5 didn't give anything at 10, 15 or anything further then that. You got the recon, artillery, and dogs.

Don't judge games before you actually play them.

IMO it is what seperates COD MW from other shooters. If you just want a plain old classic shooter play CS or one of the other plain generic shooters out there.

I dont mind the killstreaks... I just think the Tactical nuke is kind of outrageous.
