I'm on my 2nd prestige mode. I guess it was worth it the first time, just to level it up again, but now that I've done it twice I may not. I'd rather work on maxing out all the guns and getting the golden guns.

I'm on the 3rd prestige mode and I believe it is worth it... no you dont't unlock anything else, but just getting to 55 and stopping makes me feel like a quiter... so entering prestige mode makes me not only feel good about myself... but it gives me something to aim for instead of just playing for the hell of it (which is fine to do, don't get me wrong... I just normally play games for a reason(fun, challenge, favorite genre)...

So in my opionion... Yes... it is worth it... unlocking the gold weapons is a waste of time(I learned this first hand)... I spent 2 weeks getting the gold Dragunov and believe me... it is an overrated experience... there is no damage increase or anything special... just a shiny gun that makes you easy to spot in the distance... so it could be a negative if you look at it like that...

Yeah it wasn't worth it... the gold made me an easy target when I was hidden in grass so I only used it on urban maps... and even then it wasn't all that special...

Thats pretty cool, and good to know. I always figured that if I ever earned a golden weapon then I would stop going prestige.

I enjoy going back to the start and useing weapons i had stopped useing once i unlocked others. When i get the G3 or G36C or M14, even the MP44. But when i start over in prestige, i use the MP5 and M16 and M4 again, which i dont use at higher levels. Its fun to me. Plus you have to change your style. At lower levels, without my beloved claymores, i have to watch my own back rather than counting on them as my "alarm".

Nope, ive been 55 for quite some time now and i love it. Being 55, at the top of every match and totally destroying lots of these people whove been around it a few times... (not saying im the best or anywhere near it but i do own alot of people who have been around a few times)

Yeah im at level 21 on my 3rd time thru prestige :D

keeps the game fresh and i enjoy having to use the begining weapons again, makes it more challenging... if you are really good then it shouldnt matter if you start over at level 1 again hehe

I did, it just puts you back through the motions again. Is there a max prestige mode? Only 6 times or something?

yes and it's worth it for the fact that you get put into a lot of games where the people you are against are total newbies and you pretty much wipe the floor with all of them. i'm talking consistent 30-40 kills and 5-10 deaths.
