For about 60 hours. Now I get sick at the sight of it. I can't play it for 5 minutes without being bored out of my mind.

Yeah, it's a great game. But there comes a point when you just cant physically play any more.

I really wanted to give it a chance since my friends play it, even got the GOTY edition. I'm stuck fairly early on, there's a bandit I can't kill no matter what weapons I use I keep dying and my turret wont damage any enemies. So I gave up on the game, I'll trade it in for 4$ at gamestop most likely, that 4$ would be better used for something else. Can't believe people compare this to Fallout, what an insult.

Heh, I put at least twice that into the game. I still put the game in everyone now and then and go kill Crawmerax for kicks.

For me, Borderlands is one of those games that I return to every once in a while when I want to play something familiar. I guess Borderlands is my COD.

Quite a bit. I've got somewhere around 250 hours of solo playtime spread between two max level characters including all DLC. I really liked it, despite the nonexistent story. Chasing the legendary and pearl weapons got me extremely hooked. Looking forward to the sequel.

About 57 hours for me. Similar thing happened with Fallout 3 and me, my first character lasted 75 hours, and when I tried to start again, I couldn't. It was too bleh.

Yep I agree, my friend and I are currently playing through it in splitscreen. It would be pretty dull by yourself

This is the exact same way I feel about Oblivion. I even feel slightly sick when I look at the game cover. Strange I know haha

Srsly,is a very great game but it's to much repetitive. The first days of gaming are awesome, than you get bored. Than you get the DLC and start playing again, than you get bored again. It's nice but I can't play it anymore |:

I feel the same way. I had to struggle so much to get through Shivering Isles.

It was a good game, but developers certainly need to address certain things before releasing a sequel.

It is a great game for co-op, but in general I did not care for it. It probably had to do with the fact that my friends tried to rush me through a lot of it so I could catch up to them. I wish the gameplay was a bit smoother and shooting didn't feel so clunky. I also felt severly underpowered as a Soldier, even if I had apparently "good" gear.

What was it that sucked you in so much about it?

Borderlands is one of those games that I've attempted to start about 3 or 4 times now and it just never manages to grab me.

Is there something in particular about the game itself or are you an overall fan of the genre in general?

Borderlands was a fan game to play in co-op mode. The story wasn't very good but the overall gameplay (loot, upgrade) was mode than enough for me to spend numerous hours in front of it.

Like others have said, it was fun to play with others, it had a good sense of humor, and it was fun to play, but beneath all of that, it was missing a lot---mainly a story. It basically didn't have a story, or great characters to go with it besides the claptraps

I played the GOTY version (how did it become GOTY?) for 3 or 4 hours, then gave up. Ultimately, i did'nt like the cartoon look (cel shaded) and the maps and missions were rather bland.
