didn't expect this from Dead Space

So I picked up Dead Space for 20 bucks. I didn't expect a whole lot other than being worth my 20 dollars. Let me just say this game is AWESOME. The atmosphere, creepiness, gore and just the overall style of the game is near perfection! If you haven't played it for 20 dollars do yourself a favor and snag this game.

Also other awesome 20 dollar snags (i have all the new games I want) are.

Halo Wars - Good campain, pretty well done RTS for a console and the multiplayer is good.

Too Human - Nice lootfest and co-op. Few annoyances but for 20 dollars this is good fun.

you have blogs for this kind of stuff dude, but that aside yes I agree its an awesome game especially if you can pick it up cheap, scareyness kinda wears off half way through but the plot and action is enough to carry it on :)penpusher

Yeah just picked this game up for 7 quid and its absolutely excellent so far..I haven't even finished the first chapter and already I'm scared s***less..(might have had something to do with me playing this @ 2 in the morning, no lights and gale - force winds outside...)

I'm seriously not playing this again unless its daytime. ( I know that might detract from the " full horror experience " it has to offer, but believe me lads, I'm a complete and utter b*tch when it comes to the horror genre of games.:P)

And fair play to EA for taking a break from the norm with a new and fresh IP that they pulled off well

Dead Space is epic, that good i spent time and 1k'd it, also Too Human was great! I got it for £4 brand new. I've still yet to try Halo Wars, its the only halo game i've not played.

I thought everyone knew how awesome Dead Space was... I bought this game for 40 bucks, and do not regret it.

Yeah, DS is my favourite horror type game, next to FEAR. I got Too-Human for £5 last week and I absolutely hate it. The gameplay seems so cheap and mediocre ...

I hope this thread helps encourage more people to go out and buy Dead Space. I for one will be picking up Dead Space 2 on day 1 of release. It's going to have muiltiplayer too!

i was actually rather hyped for it when it first game out (pre-ordered and everything), and i have to say, its one of the few games i've ever pre-ordered that actually met and surpassed my hype. i was supremely happy with my purchase

Dead Space was truly a masterpiece. Once I'm done Alan Wake my brain will have a furious battle over what the best horror game this gen was; RE5 or Silent Hill: Homecoming? It's gonna be tough!
