What is the difference between the 20gb and 80bg xbox 360? Im thinking about buying a xbox 360, and Im also keeping the old xbox, so i dont care about the backward compatibility

80gb can play xbox games, but i already have an xbox.

What is the extra 60gb for? can i play games like halo3 smoothly on both xboxs? i dont find the extra 60 gb necessary.

Lastly, since the 20gb hard drive is 60gb smaller, would the RAM space be any smaller, thus not allowing like 4 player co-op on halo3 without lagging?

Thank you for any help

Uh, you mean 120gb Xbox 360 right? Both machines are now exactly the same, just one has more storage.

Pretty sure you are confused with the 80gb PS3. Xbox 360 only has 20 and 120gb harddrives.

All the extra space does is allow you to download more movies and TV shows. There's no other difference, no lag in Halo 3 or whatever you are thinking. Why would more harddrive space mean less ram?

well, about that, my computer only has 3 gb left of storage, it crashes very often, and sometimes has periods of frozen screen.... it was not like that when it had 20 gb left, wondering if its the same with an xbox 360

Your computer was probably doing that because of all of the programs running in the back ground that were taking up all the space. It doesn't really have anything to do with the percentage of space available, or used on your hard drive.

Nah, just extra space. And the elite(120gb) does have the new heatsink like the preminums do now. so if u wait a week and get a 360 elite, with the new heat sink, you should be fine. Much less chance of RRoD , inless you are going to overplay 4 hours at a time..

cool, that helps alot :) just one more question, i was playing with a friend, GRAW, free for all with AI bots included, offline, it was not running smooth, would it happen in halo3 too? he had a 80 gig, so would it be even worse with 20gig?

er... wasts RRoD? is it where it overheats? and wats heatsink? the 360 elite is just too expensive for my casual gaming, and i dont play more then 2 hours at a time. unless i get addicted to a game.... my xbox ran for 10 hrs halo2 and nohting unusual happened

Once again. The amount of storage space has NOTHING to do with system performance. The 30 or 120 gig drives will not effect system performance one iota.

The hard drives are external and can be removed pretty easily.

Look at the Core version. On its top, there's a big open space where the drives go.

Take warning now. The Xbox is not the 360 and unless you're a lucky one, you'll be calling 1-800-4MYXBOX for a free replacement, granted you have a warranty.

The only reason why you would have a 120 Gb harddrive is for more music and Movies.

The 120 GB allows you to download anything you want without having to worry about deleting stuff. If you have the 20 GB vewrsion you can't just download any demo you want and let it sit there forever. Make sure when you do buy a 360 that it has Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Forza packed in with it

First of all its not 80GB. How many people have told you that its 120GB yet you still use 80GB. 80GB is the PS3. There is no difference between the two except for harddrive space. One has black colour and one has white. Both come with HDMI output but the white one doesn't come with the HDMI cables.

the guys lying, the premium comes with those 2 games packaged in, at least when I went to Target 2 days ago. The elite doen't come with 2 free games, but as previously stated comes with HDMI cables, which will run you about $50.

The difference is the mem.

obviously

LAG has nothing to do with storage space...
