I think DIRT 2 is the best off road racing game ever, what do you all think?

It's not out where I live but it looks great. Too it's been made for the north american audience. I really want a full on rally sim...

i have the demo and it seems really good! the physics are spot on, my only gripe is that why dont they make a real WRC type game with all the drivers and cars from the world rally championship. Obvs its 2 do with licences... get the licence then fools :)

Physics are spot-on if you like arcade racers, maybe.

I've only played the demo, but its not quite 'sim' enough for me. Presentation is nice, though.

Because there are not Main Street Famous why pay the money for licence when 99.9% of the gamers would have no idea who they are anyways.

i would say it is the closest to perfection

except for the lack of splitscreen, which is disgraceful in such a racing game

completely ruins the game for me

If the demo is anything like the final product I wouldn't call it anywhere perfect, it's just like the first dirt with a little better handling and even less about rally. It should have stayed a rally game, not some annoying x-games crap. But that's my opinion I guess.

I don't really like the controls either, I might have missed it but I can't find a way to adjust the steering sensitivity.

I really enjoyed DiRT, but was put off DiRT 2 after trying the demo Not liking the "Whoa gnarly corner dooooooode" X-Games attitude. It also seems like Codemaster have brought over several things from GRID, which I found to be a real let down, and truly lazy AI programming where all cars are linked directly to how well you were doing.

I haven't played it, so I wouldn't know what it's like but I really loved the first DiRT.

From what I played of my good friends rented copy, one of the best, and close to perfection. I say second best in the rally racing genre, close behind another game in the series, Colin McRae Rally 04. But, that could change when I get my hands on the game, not just a coupole hours of a friend's copy.
