Dirt = Greatest racing game ever

I immediately enjoyed Dirt from the first time i put it in. The graphics are incredible, the gameplay is spectacular. Everything about this game oozes high production value. However, after playing this game for a week and seeing it all (almost) I have to say that it is the gratest racing game I have ever played. These are the kind of games that gamers need to support, yet I don't see a lot of discussion about it. Hopefully the game is selling well, because it is brilliantly put together.

I agree as well. The online is actually really fun because you are constantly checking to see where your name is and how far you may have dropped after sliding out on a turn. I also don't get the complaints about the game feeling "floaty." To me it seems like the cars handle how they would on the different types of ground. This game is actually pushing me to get a racing wheel! If that doesn't mean it's a good game, I don't know what does!

Good for you. I don't share the same opinion though. Simply because I don't like rally and I don't like arcade games of this type. That makes it hard to enjoy for me. Of arcade games, I enjoy Burnout much more.RogueEdge

The games not arcadey though... it's more sim than anything. Sega Rally is said to be an arcadey racer though.

How can you not race online with your friends? You can so this post flops!!! Sure you can't race on the same screen (it's the end of the world!!!) but when you can race at the SAME TIME as up to 99 more people... that's sick!

The only thing that kept me from getthis game was just how sucky the wheel was with it. No matter how I tuned it, it always felt very weird.MyopicCanadian

its a rally racer, you have to treat the wheel for this game like you would in the arcade.

Anyways, DIRT is more enjoyable for me than F2 at the moment...gameplay, long lasting, great visuals, great car models.

In my oppinion the only problem is that the game is toooooo short!! Only 11 Tier ans 4 champs...

My only complaint with the game is the lack of different weather and times. Rallisport had rain, snow, night and day racing. And mixed it all together. Almost forgot ice racing.Racing in the snow at night was some of the most exciting racing ive ever done. What game is that?

Rallisport 2 on the original Xbox. It has one race thats 10 miles long at night in heavy snow. Ive crashed at mile 3 and lost my headlights and wipers for the rest of the race. Talk about stressed.DZBricktop

Is it backwards compatible with the 360? That game looks pretty decent, so I might pick it up.

I agree that DiRT is one of the best racing games ever made.

It is a must buy for any racing fan.
