I had a old Xenon 2005 XBOX that was finally starting to randomly crash on my so I went out and bought a brand new Jasper elite 2 weeks ago. Right before my old Xbox went out I got Mass effect and it wouldn't read it, I just assumed it was the old xbox. My new Elite will also not read the game. The game has no scratches, not even asmudge on it do you think the game is jusst defective? I don't have the reciept anymore am I just forced to throw it in the garbage and buy a new one? Both xbox's will play any other game out of the 50 I own.

Common sense would tell you it must be the disc. Mass effect should play on your xbox360 just fine. If you have a friend with an xbox 360, see if it will play in theirs. Otherwise your out of luck and need to either buy a new disc or go without. Sorry.

Well I figure it's the game I mean.. it's just dumb it loads allt he way up like to where the main screen would be then it freezes. The second disc works perfectly fine. Damn these people I bet this game sucks anyway. I really just want to see what all the fuss is about. The main reason I suppose I posted here was to see if there was anything cool like you could send the game somewhere and they refund me for selling bs. I'm just going to drop it at gamestop and get a couple bones for it though.

Unfortunately as far as I know thats your best bet. I seriously doubt the store you bought it from would take it back opened. Might as well get a few bucks and get another game. Although I do highly recommend Mass Effect.....great game.

I heard somewhere the creaters for fallout were doing that because I guess they sold a bunch of copies that wouldn't work on peoples consoles. but it's cool ima drop it off at the local gamestop and maybe buy another copy. I've heard good things about the game..

Yep, definitely sounds like your disc. Since you got an Elite, I would assume you kept the hard drive with it. Try installing Mass Effect to that. Lots of freezing problems I had were solved that way. Plus, if it works, you won't need to buy a new disc. Obviously it still sucks you can't play it right from the disc, but hey, if it works at least you get to play it. :P
