Probably not in a few years or even this Generation, but I think not including support for HDDVD from the start or atleast making the HDDVD drive add on for games too hurt the impact the 360 could have made on the format war. I personally use Blu-Ray now, and yes I have used both formats and have the HDDVD add on I just like Blu Ray better. Personal opinion though.

It could be an issue in a few years, but not right now. The devs for PGR4 already stated that the DVD9 format is an issue as far as space is concerned, but with compression technologies getting better all the time, I don't see it being a big deal anytime soon. Nothing to worry about really.

i dont think it will very few games are using the blu ray advantage and alot of games arnt even filling up a DVD at this point. not to mention that most games that would be to big for a DVD could be put on more than one disc

It's already an issue. GTA 4 devs/publishers are struggling to fit everything on a DVD9.

I dont beleive they offically announced that, alot of fanboyism, infact if they were why was every trailer and demo run on the 360?.. allthough im pretty sure GTAIV will carry the "HDD Required" Tag

I don't think it's much of an issue. Oblivion, for example, is a huge game and it doesn't even use up half the space on a DVD. Despite all the rumors, the PGR4 developers have said straight-up that disc space is not an issue. While including an internal HD-DVD player to the 360 would have had an impact on the format war, it would have added a lot of cost but not much functionality.

If disc space on dvd9 is a problem than so is ps3 blu ray capacity. ps3 games have to be writtin on the disc more than once to play the game correctly thus taking up space. The game only has to be writtin on the dvd9 once for the 360. Does'nt matter anyway. You can aways install the game on the hardrive with more than one dvd or just sitch out the dvd like they did for final fantasy games.

if they can get it right, PS3 could chug out better graphics than 360, BUT most devs don't know how to do that. i predict next generation it would be HD DVD vs. Blu-Ray
