I bought my Xbox 360 in March and have had NO problems with it at ALL. Recently (about Wednesday) I started to notice something was wrong with my Xbox. The disk drive kept making noises..at first I dismissed them because I thought it wasn't a big deal until they began increasing and once it even said "this disk is unreadable" while I was playing a game.

The 360 is making grinding, or "scratching" noises while i'm playing games. I don't know if it's directly the disk drive's problem or maybe it's something else, but i'd like to get people opinions before I decide to get some help from professionals. I hope I can fix it without having to send it away (I don't know if i can because I doubt the warranty covers disk drives?)

The disk was brand new. I tried it with other games and I kept getting the same noises & no, my Xbox wasn't moved AT ALL while I was playing because I know that messes it up. :( And I believe I will have to send it in, but will the warranty cover me since I got it in March?

Sounds like your Xbox 360 might be flipped over. Thats what mine does when its on the wrong side. I suggest flipping it over or going to Xbox.com to get help.

I think it's the right side up, but I'll try that and yeah, I should have gotten on Xbox.com first and foremost.
