your xbox probably IS scratching your games. i was running into the same problem. it started off infrequent, then became increasingly problematic. overall it scractched about 5 of my games. finally i heard a zapping sound come from the system and now it doesn't play anything. i'm in the process of sending it back to msft. i looked this up and it appears to be a pretty widespread problem. not on par with the red lights but close.

no, but it will just keep on scratching. i believe this just means that it is close to breaking. msft wouldn't do anything for me either until it actually broke. you could try lying...

If you have a Hollywood video in your area, take the disk there. For $2 they run it through a repair machine and the thing looks BRAND NEW. Its awesome.

Well, I had a game doctor from my Ps2 games getting scratched. It worked after a few runs through it. After a while, though, it wore off. Using a scratch remover should be fine. I just ran out of the re-surfacing fluid that came with the product. I can't play Guitar Hero: World Tour, anymore... =( And if all else fails, buy another copy. Guitar Hero III is only 20 bucks now.

All of the xbox360s in the world have this problem, if u move ur 360 while the disc are running, it will scratch ur cd. I got 360 for 3 days ago, got the 2 new episodes from gtaiv.. I played it about 2 hours and then i just touched the table with my leg, i have my 360 there, i heard a sound and then i got a error, i saw the disc and it were' two perfectly 360degrees scratched circles on my cd. Those ''toothpaste'' methods u can see on the internet may work sometimes, it does not work on my cd's but, i live in Europe, and i heard that if u live in the U.S. u can send it to''Hollywood Video'' and u just pay 2$ and they repair ur cd. If u buyed the game in Gamestop, u could have GameProtection and they repair ur game. I dont have HollyWood Video here and neither Game protection cuz i did not buy it in Gamestop xD But my friends told me that GameStore can fix ur cds.
