I've had my Xbox 360 for a couple of years now and lately its been having trouble reading disks. Most of the time I have have to use 1 or 2 squirts of dick cleaner on my game just for my Xbox to read it. I'm pretty sure the warranty has run out and I don't want to get a new Xbox. What should I do?

It may be your DVD drives laser but you can't be sure until you check everything.

HOWEVER, replacing Xbox 360 drives is an absolute **** to do so I recommend buying a new 360.

DOnt clean your game disk or it will be permanently damaged!!!, get your self a DVD lens cleaner its a disk with brushes on it and use it to clean the Disk drive of your 360. BUy a good quality lens cleaner. Clean your drive once for next 3-4 days and done over do it. That will sort your problem.

I am also having this problem but it only happens with DVD'S. And whats weird is that it only does it with certain new DVD'S such as : Saw 5, Quantum of Solace and Slumdog Millionaire. Any advice and can I send it to Microsoft? (my 360 is in warranty for another 2 ish years).
