dissapointed with farcry 2

well the 1st 3 days of playin this game were amazing sweet graphics cool gameplay fun fun. But now it just seems very repetative and not so fun Every mission/task seems the same. drive somewhere get attacked along the way fight off the attackers, get to mission kill a bunch more ppl/ or blow somethin up. repeat. I really have no desire to keep playin and am starting to think about trading it in towards gears2. anyone else find themselves in a simular place?

i love this game but im glad i got it as a gift.

i was really dissapointed up until i got the silenced mps, silenced pistol and camo then i started having a blast since i love playing with stealth.

The game is awesome imo, it definatly gets better later on.

What more can you want? A god singleplayer, an amazing map editor and fun online.

Its definatly not GAME OF THE YEAR, but its still a solid 9/10 imo.

Ya, I agree with the op. It got very repetitive and it took only my first hour of play to realize it. Somewhat ironic since its made by the same company that made Assassin's Creed - which was also very repetitive. Hmmmm....raptortank4

LOL. Yeah I think they were both made by Ubi Montreal. I find that getting around is a chore. Driving to objectives is quicker but more likely to get you attacked and walking/running just takes too long. I think adding more bus stops would've helped!!!

I bought and finished Gears 2 on hardcore and then went back to FC2. After I'm done I may finish Gears on Insane mode but I still have a ton of unopened games to play. (CoD5, Resistance 2, Fallout 3, Mirrors Edge...:/)

Anyways, I'd choose Gears 2 over FC2 if I could pick only one.

I was really looking forward to the release of far cry 2 and chose to buy it over fable 2 (which in the end i bought just a few days later!. As others have said the first few hours of it are brilliant, the graphics really hit you and the game just feels great. Also as you are travelling in the back of that jeep, i found myself wanting to jump out and begin exploring.

I did begin to explore and for a while it was great, however after a while i became annoyed at the time it would take to travel from one destination to the other, meeting group after group of annoying enemies who you just have to get out and defeat!!

The map editor is great, however at first (as not playing a far cry game before) there seemed just too much to chose from and too much space to play with. The multiplayer is good, but due to the lack of people of ranked matched, ranking up is not an option. Overall far cry 2 is worth a look, and i am sure i'll be coming back to it.

I don't think Far Cry 2 is a bad game, but it's not fantastic either. I think we were all expecting so much from it before the release that it was bound to be a let down, one way or another. I like it for short bursts at a time. When I get tired of the gore of Dead Space or disillusioned by some of Fallout 3's more ridiculously stupid creatures (like the giant biped crab-things that come out of the water . . . how lame) then I switch to Far Cry 2 for a bit. It's fun for me to play it as an alternate like that, one quick mission at a time to get bloody corpses or silly creature designs out of my head for a while. But I can't play Far Cry for too long. The graphics are beautiful (during the day, whilst night time looks crap) but even the environments don't change that much and it seems like everything gets repetitive. I do think it's a good game and it is quite fun, but . . .

Gears of War 2 is WAY WAY better. Better story, better environments, and a lot more fun. No contest IMO ;)

far cry2 its awesome but soo chaotik i am about 12% done

Why do you guys hate it so much its one of the Best FPS this year (not the best but one of them) maybe you do the same stuff but somthing different allways happens

yeah. I don't really care for it all that much... 10 minutes of driving for 4 minutes of shooting. blah! I never made it past the 4th mission! I'm gonna trade it in for something! :P

I'm gonna trade this in for Left 4 Dead.....I was pshyced about this game...Don't get me wrong it is great....Multiplayer is very strong but I wanted it as it somehow gave people, including me, the impression of GTA: Unnamed African Country..lolEv0lutii0n
