I also think the game is great, alot better than I expected. I think being able to control the camera is a huge improvement over the others
I'm hesitant to even get the demo. Ever since 2 I have been disappointed tbh....maybe this could be the way back towards form? I'll wait to hear a few more reviews before I decide to try it or not. My time is precious :p

See, there's you first problem. You stopped after the second one. The game was by far the worst of the series. Should of played 3 than 4 than the new dmc. Trust me

People hate the game for many more reason beyond his hair, so stop purposefully simplifying the complaints to just his hair. The combat is slower and not as deep as previous games, style is rated solely on damage, the game runs slower than previous games, and the writing is utterly butt-f*cking horrible. And Donte slurs all of his lines and is an unlikable asswipe.

How can you "know" so much about the game if you've never played it?
I tried it but I didn't like the stupid grappling-hook platforming stuff, and it was everywhere. It was completely over-used and it ruined the game for me. I couldn't bring myself to finish it. Sh!t game.

Whether you liked it or not is one thing. But dont call it a SH T game

Cool. I'm gonna take your word for it because I've thought about getting it. I have to say...I played the demo and the graphics were super ugly. (comparable to Spec ops- the line's demo with all the red/orange/brown going on)

Does it stand up to the difficulty its spiritual predecessors set the bar at? I've been meaning to buy it for a while, but just never got around to it.
Dante looks terrible. The gameplay is clunky in comparison to the other DMC games.

So in other words its a good game so long as one doesn't compare it with the Capcom DMC games. ;) Although I will say "emo Dante" is way better than Nero ! Infact "emo Dante" is kinda like a midrange version of Nero combined with Dante.
Thats why when you look at like metacritic the professional reviews gave it a ok rating but those were usually from like 40 sources, while on the other hand the user ratings of over 1000 people per system gave it awful ratings, because its an awful game.
