Sorry for ranting on this, it's a little long, but I can't believe i was this lucky. I went to my local Best Buy Thursday morning and was browsing the Xbox 360 games section. I saw the Devil May Cry 4 price sleeve behind the racing game Dirt. I moved Dirt and proceeded to pick up DMC4, and when I brought the game out from under the display I was surprised that it was the Collectors Edition. I bent down to get a closer look at the price tag, and sure enough it displayed the game for $59.99. The tag was for the original version of DMC 4 not the CE, but there was no CE price tag. Hmmm...
I then spotted an one original edition of the game behind some of the CE editions, and proceeded in moving it behind some other games (I know shame on me) :P. I then strolled up to the counter with Professor Layton for the DS, CSI for the Wii (for the gf for Valentines Day, she adores the show), and a copy of DMC4: CE (I'm sure you know where this is going). So, I get to the register and lay my loot on the counter, as the friendly cashier rings them up. She then tells me my final price, and I proceed to act puzzled. :P I asked, "Wait...how much?," and then go on to inform her that the tag said the game was $59.99 not $79.99. She then calls her manager and explains to her the story.
The manager paces to the back of the store where the video games section is held, and proceeds down the PSP isle. Ya, she had no clue where she was going. So I stopped her and pointed her in the right direction. Sure enough, there was no CE tag to be found, and no original editions to um, lead her into arguing with me. When all was said and done, I walked out with a copy of DMC4: CE for $59.99!
I know that moving the original edition was wrong in a way, but I cannot even count the numerous amount of games I spotted, that were in the wrong bins. My main reason for going to Best Buy that day was to get Professor Layton, but I've also been wanting DMC4, and when I saw the mistake; I just had to snag the prize. They have to honor the price that is displayed and thankfully they did so without any quarrelling. Even better, I ended up saving 10% on PL, and CSI due to a coupon from CheapAssGamer.com. Great day!
