Do all elites have the jasper chip

Hey I'm from Australia and I'm going to sell my current 360 and get the elite and there's a few things I would like to know. Do all the elites have the jasper chip and how do you tell and are the elites quieter? also does installing games on the HD help make it run quieter?

To my knowledge all versions of the xbox 360 manufactured in 2009 are jasper models, but there may be pre-jaspers still on shelves (models made in 2008).....so check the manufacturing date. KC_Hokie

So if it's in the white box with the elite on the front and it has a 2009 date then it has the jasper. Where does it say the manufacture date? Also I heard that the jasper has certain numbers on the back of the console, does anyone know what they are?

from what i understand, look at how many amps the console is. Jasper units are supposed to run at 12 amps
