havn't been online on halo 2 for the longest time, but I would imagine due to it's popularity that there would still be a reasonable amount of people who play online.
I'd assume a lot of people hold the same opinion as me that it was a much more enjoyable game than 3. But even so, I'd rather play 3 now because I played 2 for hundreds of hours already.

How was 2 better? I know it advanced more than the third one did but it still made some improvements.

well i guess it's becasue of the game's overall feel. i like the maps in halo2 alot better than halo 3 and it makes me want to play halo 2 again but i like halo3's gameplay better
yes there r people still playing halo 2. my friend wanted to play it for some reason, it was funny he had to redownload the new maps it kept on giving him errors. after a match he would say something like "jesus why don't u go out buy a 360 and halo 3 for crying out loud"
