I liked the first one but I think it went downhill from there. I really can't stand anything Halo.
I'm not an anti-fanboy or anything. I think the series were okay games but not really groundbreaking or revoluionary. There are lots of games that are similar. I think they got so big due to good marketing and PR.

most games are like halo, because they basically held it down and ripped it off.
What are you talking about?!?!
Halo had nothing to do with the creation of the 360 - to say the 360 only exists because of Halo is absolutely insane (and very fanboyish).
And the Halo franchise has nothing to do with MOST 360's owners reason for owning the console. There were some console purchasers because of Halo but the majority of owners had the console long before H3 - and would have gotten the console regardless of if H3 was released or not.
Your whole post is EXTREMELY biased against the 360 in general.

Halo is Love/Hate...We get it, we get itttttttttttt. Now stop making these posts.
Some people hate it, think it's overrated. Other people think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. Now go to the search feature, and find the other 5 billion posts like this, and see what came out of those.
No, I think it's an absolutely great game. But people seem to jump along on the trend of hating on it. Kinda like MGS2. Yeah, it was a bit of a dissapointment because of the hype but it's still a fantastic game.
Notice how most of the people who are hating on it rushed to buy it on release?
i have all 3...i think the first was the best, but halo 3 isnt as bad as everyone says it is
i like them dont hate halo...but it does have a huge part to do with the sucess of the original xbox which led to the 360
i mean it was the only shooter out for the original for the longest time
I don't hate it, i just find it old. I've spent 8 years playing halo and halo 3 wasn't a huge change. It was fun, but now I'm at the point that I don't play it unless my friends want to, it's just not as fun by yourself anymore.

thats just stupid. you realize that w/out halo the original xbox would have flopped and flopped hard, so in turn, if the original xbox had failed there would be no 360 now. the halo series is responsable for say %90 of microsofts success in the game industry.
Understand that a lot of people bought an Xbox for Halo CE. I did. I was a PS2 owner for years and never really considered the Xbox until I played Halo CE co-op. Then I played split screen slayer with 4 people and I was sold. At the time, no other console FPS looked like that. I was even considering building a new gaming PC until I decided to get an Xbox. Xbox could have easily gone the way of the Dreamcast if not for Halo and Halo 2. With the huge success of Halo 2, MS moving on to the next gen with Halo 3 in the wings was a no brainer. What are you talking about?!?!

Hate? How can you hate a game? You dislike a game you don't hate it. It's extremely sad if you "hate" a game and then blout on about how so and so's game is waaay better and how it totally "pwns" Halo or any other game. Jesus! a game is for playing if you don't like it fine thats your respected opinion, but listen you must have a serious problem if you dislike a game so much you have to purposely argue just to get your little insignificant voice across. Grow up yeah?
Oh yeah and btw and don't say hate is when you dislike something a lot cause it ain't. Hate is a too strong of an emotion to apply to a game. Come on...a...game...Anyway I thought Halo 3 was a decent game if you suposidly "hated" it why did you play it? And if you haven't played it and "hate" it then your opinion is worthless. Im not targeting people individaully here so if you are get off your high horse and drink ya milk.
i really tryed to like halo, i just couldnt get into it... doesnt mean its a bad game by far, in fact it was very well made game, just boils down to personal preference, and perosnally i found it rather boring after awhile, but who really cares anyways, some people love it, more power to them...
