ooo yes... i don't have one personally because I'm poor atm but when i go over my sister house all those tiny things that was somewhat hard to see get ready to watch it pop out... from a standerd tv to a hd it sure dose
here let me give you a preveiw
thats standerd T.V
thats HD T.V i'm 4real not the greatest picture but you get the point. btw i,m eating cheese coneys atm thats why i choose hot dog lol :D
Yeah I still play on standard and the text is really hard to read at times especialy if it's small. I also have a few games where it doesn't display the game properly so it cuts parts of it out. Like oh Fable 2 anytime there was text at the top of the screen I could only see a little over half of it. The rest was angled out of my screen. I've seen some of the games I play on HD tvs at other peoples houses though and it looks great. I can't wait till I can get one to replace my 150 pound giant pos.
I would say yes. Having only in the last couple of week upgraded my TV from an 8 year old HD 1080i capable TV to a Full HD 1080p one, I can say, even that makes a difference. Many will say that most games don't run in that resolution. But if you get a decent size and the refresh rate is higher, which is easier on the eyes. then it will make a massive difference.
VGA isn't HD it's analog I believe. Still nice picture though. ;)
So effing true! I can't believe I've been playing a tube for so long! Good thing I converted :DBig difference. Once you go HD. Everything else looks like crap.

That's like saying PC doesn't do HD if it uses VGA, when they can far surpass resolutions on a console. High resolution + progressive scan = HD to me.I keep my xbox in my room for the most part, and I have just a standard tv. There's a 42 inch HD downstairs. It's very aggravating playing most games on the regular tv, since they make subtitles and the text in stuff like tutorials so small, it takes 3 times as long to try deciphering what's being written. It's also aggravating getting sniped online because you can't make out the detail in the distance.
I've noticed the tiny-text problem didn't really get bad until about 3 years ago. Kind of pisses me off developers shrank text for whatever reason, I'm assuming they think everyone's got a nice tv now.
Yeah well it makes more of a difference on PS3. It's a night and day difference on both systems. Brighter + clearer. But it doesnt do anything to gameplay just entertainment.taz1377
why does HD make more of a difference on the ps3? both systems are capable of 1080p and most of the games on both are native to 720p.
dude its 2010... who doesnt have a HDTV. even little kids in africa are owning noobs on HDTV's. do you still have 56k?

That's kind of rude, not to mention ignorant.
I can either choose to pay for my health and car insurance for 6 months, 3 months worth of groceries, two months of rent, or I can blow it on a tv...
Hmm...decisions, decisions.

HUGE Difference. Nothing like it.I got ODST and I'm not even going to try and clear it until I go home and play it on the 42" HD tv at home. Tried it on a 26" SD one in my flat and it is actually painful to watch especially when using the visor thing and you can't see anything without that in the night sections.
Haha i've never seen so many people have the same opinion in a forum :) Its a HUGE difference! So much clearer, smoother and more precise! Wellzification
You had me up until I looked at your signature. Ewwwwww now I feel sick. :?
lol :D
Oh and yes it makes one hell of a difference. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first did the switch.
True. I heard Dead rising text was difficult to read on a SDTV :PI was amazed when I upgraded my tv and used the hdmi. Not only do games look sharper but text is easier to read.

when I baught my HD tv last year I was playing World at war and skate 2 alot and they both looked like new games

That's like saying PC doesn't do HD if it uses VGA, when they can far surpass resolutions on a console. High resolution + progressive scan = HD to me. Yeah, highest resolution that VGA supports is 2048x1536. So to say that's not HD is highly inaccurate. Yes VGA is analog but that has nothing to do with it being HD or not.I normally play on my 27" SD TV, but I lived with a guy (and still play on his TV sometimes)who has a 42" HD Widescreen and honestly I can't tell that much of a difference in games - at least not enough to warrant that much more money. The only real difference I could see is that for some games the text is much smaller in SD compared to HD, but there's only been a couple cases I've seen of that.
[QUOTE="dan_plus_o"]My dad has a huge 42" Plasma tv and he only watches tv on it.. I always tell him what a waste his tv is.. Not even putting it to good use with a 360/playstation or blueray player. For me the only reason why I would want I big HD tv is for gaming, for watching tv I don't really care how clearly I can see up that actors nose. Anyways I just bought a 360 - VGA cable so I can play my 360 on my 22" LCD monitor in HD. Will be so much nicer then the current old tv I am using. So hard to read the text. I currently have a bunch of games waiting to be played on my 360 but I won't play them until I get my 360-VGA cable.RobboElRobbo

What does binary and analogue signals have anything to do with HD? HD just refers to the resolution, basically anything grater or the same as 1280x720... my pc monitor from 1995 is "HD"HUGE difference. I can't even look at my old SDTV's that are sitting unplugged in the corner without cringing. I have quick flashes of muddy images and get a feeling of claustraphobia when I consider playing games on them. The only thing that keeps them around is the thought of hooking up my old NES or SNES to them for that nostalgia kick but I can't even bring myself to do that since I can play them on the HDTV just fine. SMB on a 50" is crazy delicious.
