So i was looking at some Xbox101 vids today, and one told me about installing games into the hardrive, which was good for a few reasons. (Quieter Xbox, less stress for the console, and loading times are quicker) I followed their advice and did it to most of my games.

Halo 3 ODST (multiplayer disk), CoD:MW 2, and Assassin's Creed 1 is amazingly quiet on my Xbox now.

Halo 3 ODST (campaign and firefight disk) and Skate 2 makes a jacked up sound. It is indeed a tad bit quieter, but makes this loud, low groaning sound, which is worse than the loud Xbox before the installation.Only those to disks do that. Is there a problem with the disks or something?

BTW all my games are new (not used) and the 360 is on this glass desk.

And btw, does installing games decrease the risk of RROD?

Well as far as I know, installing the original Halo 3 gives problems, maybe the same problems as ODST.

And installing games to the hard drive won't increase the change of a RROD, more likely to decrease.

I always play games from the hard drive. Like your console, my 360 is louder with some games. It isn't a problem, it's just the fans speeding up to get rid of heat. Maybe these games are more taxing on the CPU, so it produces more heat and the fans speed up to get rid of it. It's nothing to worry about, anyway.
