I just bought a Samsung LN46A500 Series 5 46" LCD TV. I've been reading alot about screen lags on some HDTV's when gaming. Does anyone know if this model needs any vga cables or anything or is it safe and good to go because I am getting a Xbox 360 soon and needs to know ahead of time.

LCD TVs used to have a lag issue, but 'recent' models don't really have the problem anymore. You can't really buy anything with greater than an 8ms response time now anyway. Your TV has a 5ms response time, and that's pretty much as good as you can get for a TV that size...or almost any LCD (yes, some have 2ms gtg but 5ms is just fine)

I have a 120hz LG LCD with 5ms reponse time and it's awesome...no lag at all.

Now, if you'd purchased a piece of crap LCD TV a few years back, you'd have a bit of a problem. I've seen some that make action games look like oil paintings...

HDMI If your 360 have the outputs for it. HDMI supports up for 1080P where as VGA cables only support up to 720(p/i)

Microsoft HDMI cable with audio outputs http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=66794 You can use any HDMI hook up it seems but probably be a little bit trickier to set it up, alternatively here is the VGA hook up that has audio outputs http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=40681 Maybe look around, amazon or ebay if you want prices to be lower. Or check out local GameStops for used versions, i got used VGA hookup for my PC screen for only $10, saved $30 and came with audio coupler.

^$49 dollars? That expensive. Don't all all HDMI have audio outputs and all the new Xbox 360 have HDMI output?

Actually VGA can go 1080p on the 360. If you go to Display settings on your 360 and then screen resolution, you can select 1920x1080 if your screen supports it, and 1920x1080 = 1080p.

Thanks. Allways that VGA didn't do 1080. But anyway, HDMI has built in audio, if you know what I mean. IT outputs videa and audio. If you do buy a cable make sure you know your 360 had an output.

Sure HDMI does audio, but who seriously uses their TV speakers on an LCD TV? Please tell me you guys use a digital optical cable to your surround sound system....
