Do many people still play Far Cry 2 Online?

Honestly, I want this game. It LOOKS great, but I don't want to buy a dead game.

In a word, (yes or no) how is the multiplayer.

Also, how active is the community?

Yes,Alot too theres also a fair share of custom matches like 20 (custom map servers)

I Play alot

I never really play it online. I jsut recently started checking out some of the user built maps. My favorite is the water world one. Pretty darn cool.

I just love the single player. I never really mind driving. I just shoot over to a bus station, take a hop to the nearest bus station to my objective and cruise around. I use cars for explosive weapons anyway. I stick a bomb to it. Drive it fast at my target, jump out and hit explode. Always a great start to a gun fight! I find the enemys pretty easy to kill once you buy some accuracy upgrades. I take mose enemies out with an AK47 with short burst at long range.

its a great game overall

the community is far from dead, however

I am borrowing it from a friend and am looking forward to buying it. I get on the multiplayer and it is very possible to find matches. I hope this summer a lot more people come back to it.

Idk why anyone would want to play that piece of crap. The map editor is only decent thing in the whole game. Hopefully 3 will be a good game like the old farcrys k2theswiss

That's just it though. The map editor gave us the possibility of pretty much playing a different map every match, and that is what made the multiplayer awesome. I thought the gameplay was pretty decent myself, but it was definitely the hundreds of custom maps that made it really fun to play. It was a far cry (no pun intended) from most games that only have 8-10 maps in their multiplayer. Then again, I only rented the game and played it a short while, so maybe I would've gotten bored had I decided to buy it.
