If COD 5 came before COD 4, then would it have gotten all of COD4's fame? I cant really get a true rating on this game becase everybody is over WW2 games after COD4.

If COD 5 came before COD 4, then would it have gotten all of COD4's fame? I cant really get a true rating on this game becase everybody is over WW2 games after COD4.

I know where your coming from and I think COD:WaW would still be received as it was, even though it would have introduced the revamped COD multiplayer. I cant speak for others I am tried of WW2. The weapons, the major battles we have played them way to many times.

i personally dont like WW2 guns and since they did such a good job with COD4 some people see it as a step back.

Same battles over and over ? How many other games did Russia's Invasion of Germany and America fighting the Japanese?

i dont believe it would have gotten the same ammount of fame, but more than it got now, if i came out first cod 4 was a major success for its amazing story, and extremely tight, well made multiplayer if cod 4 was cod W@W, it would have lost points for being another WWII games, and the fact that it has terrible spawning. overall this is what i would of rated cod 4: 10 if cod W@W came out when cod 4 did, i would have given it an 8.5-9

The Russian invasion of Germany was in COD 1 ending with the same battle thats in COD:WaW, the battle of Berlin. Medal of Honor:Rising Sun was completly about Marines fighting the Japanese.

IW took a step forward with COD4 and they kicked a$$ with it, Treyarch on the otherhand isnt really a company of inovation they copy what IW produces with minor changes also IW has a history of awsomeness and will continue to produce top notch games and change the series.

As I stated in another form I think people would be thinking differently on what game is best based on the release dates. I think if COD4 MW came out after COD W@W everyone would be talking about how good COD4MW compared to W@W. THat is just my opinion and probably others
