Yeah most of the people who still play it are insanely skilled and you won't really have a chance. Gears 2 at least has a skill-matching system to balance out the teams, and as this guy is mentioning, horde is a hell of a lot of fun if you like co-op.

In both games, I've found that most of the people in the competitive multiplayer modes are uber nerdy hermits who just play the game all day and night and keep anyone else from having any legitimate chance of enjoying this mode.
Lolz, yea. But it is also good, most of the people will "let you win" simply because they have enough points to spare. I get around...say 75 kills every day on my alternate profile (getting 100% achievements for my brother too), so yea, pretty good now. Already at 9910 kils, so close to Seriously. And then on to this profile. If any of you want to help me "Host" games though, it would be great, I have a crappy connection that seems limited ONLY to Gears of War 1. So...unless someone lets me complete the games, I can not get the hosting achievement.
