do the 3 red lights mean its permanently damaged?

4 months ago i got the 3 red lights.....and just leaving my 360 alone for like an hour seemed to fix it. 20 minutoes ago i got them again....but i just tu rned it on and it worked perfectly...what does this mean?

i guess were one of the lucky few hu? jeje. I think many people overreact when they get the 3 lights and dont even bother with letting it cool down.
