Do the intercoolers actually work?

Getting my third 360 next week and I'm was wondering if the intercoolers actually help.

I would also like to know.

i was looking into it awhile ago though the magic of google and all i hear is that it does absolutely nothing, your way better off just putting a small fan next to your 360 if your worried about overheating

My friends intercooler melted onto his xbox and broke it. My other friend has one and it works fine.

Intercoolers don't work, or so I have heard. They tend to make the xbox more hot, but I honestly have no proof of this. Just what I have heard.

In short answer, no. You would be better off blowing a regular fan on the xbox itself. Or what I do, is have mine sit on a laptop cooling pad.

They void your warranty with Microsoft and they can mess up your 360. I would not suggest getting one.

it does nothing and some of the like Nyko can kill your system.

I had the nyko intercooler ts for some time, and I can say that it does a good job cooling the xbox down, the bad thing about it and why I decide to take it off was the nose. Its very loud and when you start the xbox it makes a grinding nose for having six fans on top of each other. Now all I have is a laptop cooler on the bottom, and that is ok.
