I plan on buying another controller, but I'm aiming for a wired one so I can also use it on my PC. I do recall however my friend having two wired controllers a long time ago near the 360's launch and I recall them having a terrible delay in comparison to the wireless controller he had. Can anyone who has used a wired controller more recently confirm or deny this?

Logically I would think the wireless controller would have some sort of delay, not the wired.

Agreed. Personally I've never felt any delay with any of my xbox controllers, wired or wireless. I just prefer the wired because I can use it on my PC and no batteries.

I would have thought the same thing. It's just I remember playing Perfect Dark over my friends house and we'd all fight over who got to use the wireless controller as the wired ones had a very noticeable delay to it. So thought I'd make sure that this is not true before buying one.

I would have to say no. Never have noticed anything odd at all.

You can buy this adapter to use a 360 wireless controller on the PC, or just buy this controller.

Anything wireless has a delay, although it's not really noticeable it will always be there. Anything wired has pretty much 0 delay.

I've seen that adapter before, but I figured a wired controller would do me more good as it would save me time charging my controllers and such.

Every single thing has some sort of delay. The time it takes light to travel from a flashlight to a wall even has delay. It is just so small and insignificant that it is, like someone said, basically zero delay. Same thing with wired controllers. Basically zero delay. I don't even notice any delay with my wireless controller to be honest.

I have used both wired and wireless since 2006 and have never once thought of there being a delay. I think you guys were trippin lol. like others have said if there would be any delay it would be the wireless.

It's really a matter of personal preference. If you think the wired solution is better get that. It's usually like $10 cheaper anyway. If you already have wireless 360 controllers, then grab the adapter. There really isn't any difference in lag between wired, and wireless.

Personally I prefer the wireless controller / adapter because I have extra controllers, and I use rechargeable batteries. So the only inconvenience I have is swapping batteries every 25 hours or so.

I think a wried one would be for the best. I only got one 360 controller and we tend to have controller problems when my friends forget to bring theirs over and such. Seeing as everyone here has said there's no delay I'm going to order one now. I guess my friend all that time ago just had two dodgy wired controllers.
