Do xbox live codes go bad or expire?

just wondering cause i have a few 48 xbox live codes that that with games that i never used and few days ago i went to put them in and they were invalid. i put the codes in right, i did it a couple time top make sure. and i had a moonth one put it in and that one worked.

do the 48 hour ones expire/go bad over time?

Some do, some don't.

i dont know if this applies to you but once you buy gold, 48 hour trials dont work.

i didnt pay for it, i just setup my account a week ago and when i registered it gave me a month golf free and then i had a month free from GTA IV i still had and put that in and it worked. then i tried the 48 hour trials and they kept saying invalid. also i had the codes for GOW 2 flashback maps and they worked too. not that big of a deal its just a few more days.

and also didnt notice an expiration date on the card anywhere, whatever i guess its cool

go bad? yes...you might wanna use it before it molds over
