I'm loving how MS is always updating the console or their games to improve them. However, it seems that gamers are never happy!

For instance when we had the fall update, a lot fo things were fixed. Yet, accross the boards, many gamers complained that their system "acted up since the update".

Another example is Annex for Gears of War. The update is FREE and is EXTRA content, yet I still see gamers complain about "it's too sticky now!" or "OMG I can't glitch no more!".

All I'm saying is, appreciate that we are getting extra content for free.

On a side note: Please stop making 10-19 rounds on Annex- it's just TOO long. The preferred setting should be 2 rounds of 400 points- which takes roughly 15-30mins to complete.8)

I like the XBL updates. Can't say I need the Windows Live Messenger but the achievement summary thing is a big help.

I enjoy & sometimes complain about the small problems.  Over all though, I think they are great.

For the most part they are welcome, and you can't complain about free maps and updates.

The updates have been great so far. I'd like AIM chat added in addition to the Windows Live Messenger. I just don't know a single person that uses WLM, everyone uses AIM.

I dont mind the updates, i just think that unless its extra content, then the game shouldve been made right when they were making it.  I love the extra content though! Keep bringing that stuff, i dont care if i do have to pay for some of it.  It takes time to make extra content, and time is money.  Everyone needs to get paid.

It's always nice to have new features added. The Windows Messaging won't do anything for me because I don't know anyone who uses it, which means this update is more or less a bust to me but I don't care. I didn't buy an Xbox 360 because I wanted a flashy dashboard, I bought it because I wanted games and the 360 had the best ones.

In regards to the game "updates", more often than not they're just patches -- and in a sense it frustrates me that this is now possible, as it encourages game developers to hand over products that aren't finished instead of adjusting deadlines. I'll admit that I'm a little tired of waiting for Half Life 2, but I respect Valve for going out of their way to attempt to release a less buggy product -- and a complete one. Of course, I didn't have a single problem with Gears Of War until they started "updating" so whatever.

Seriously...if I had to make a choice between a "king of the hill" style gametype and being an adhesive man I'd go with neither. Sticking to every damn wall I'm 5 feet away from is worse than the glitches were. The glitches didn't interrupt my gameplay, they were just  some random fool acting stupid.  Getting stuck on walls...every round...of every match...gets to you.

HAHAHAHA you've got to be kidding me. So now when Microsoft releases an update that bricks a whole crapload of systems, the people who had a perfectly good 360 and now have nothing aren't supposed to complain? What a joke.

I think it's great they update the console.  I just want to make sure none of the updates or patches break my games or hardware.

Nah, I disagree. Games, or software of any kind, has always shipped with bugs. It's just the nature of the business. Not because developers are lazy but mearly because there's only so much testing you can do with a handful of testers. You get a product out on the mass market and it's easy for new things to spring up, or for adjustments in game play to be necessary. Updates allow developers to fix those little things that can sometimes be a royal pain. Besides, it's not like patches are anything new. Being able to patch PC games was one of those things that for years, I though consoles were sorely missing. I'm glad developers can easily implement it now.

As for MS' system updates... I think they've been great. MS is trying to listen to the 360 community and do what they can to improve the experience. I thought the previous update added some great features, and although I'm not interested in& the IM stuff, the other new features are going to be great.
