Do you ever buy 360 games for the sake of it?

I try to rent or barrow what I think I can beat in a week. I only buy a game at launch or at sixty dollars if I really want it. Every thing else I usally wait to hit the twenty to thirrty dollar range before picking it up.

I just rent or barrow a majority of the games I play, i pretty much refuse to buy a game unless it has good online multiplayer or it's a very large single player game with lots of stuff to do like skyrim, saints row, GTA, etc...

I've bought some that I did because I was bored, e.g. Alan Wake because it was cheap But yeah sometimes if there's a slight gap inbetween releases (last Summer was simply shocking) I normally just buy a bunch of games to keep me going if I'm bored of the games I have

I pretty much only buy games that I know are going to be good. Everything else I rent first, and try it out. If it's good and I think I will get my money out of it I buy it.

I buy about 1 game every 1-2 months, so you do buy a hell of alot. Though I'm pretty poor, so maybe if I had more money I'd be buying more games too.

Yes I'm the same. We're called collectors for a reason lol. Best way to get games just for the sake of getting them is at yard sales. Most people don't know the prices of what games go for or what they're worth if they're old games (NES, SNES, Sega, Etc.), so you can often find them for really cheap.

I normally buy a game once I finish one or get tired of a game. I never buy multiple games in a month really.

I have some parts of my game collection on my youtube, and still got to upload the other ones. Huge mountains of games, I got over 200 NES Games, over 93 Atari Games, over 60 SEGA Genesis, and about 6 PS1 Games uploaded so far, I got to get to uploading the others=]

Yes if I find a good deal on Xbox 360 games. And have the extra cash I will buy the game.(s) Besides I like variety. And always have built a library of games since I sometimes play 3-5 different games during a session.

I know exactly what you mean. I do basically the exact same thing. Always need to have new games so I buy a ton of old games that are under $20 a piece. I've walked into Gamestop more than once and walked out with 3+ games. Always good times.

Yeah, most recent ones were DMC4 and NIER, both have only been played about 3 hours. I honestly have no idea why I brought them, I didn't even want them.

Oh well, something to play when I'm bored I guess.

While I see the coolness in this ...sometimes I have to just step back and say 'what's the point". It's not like you play many of those games very often.

I used to be the same way with DVDs. I had like over 300 ....and one day I said..."what in the hell am I doing...this is just hoarding". I hardly watched any of them. There were even times where if the same movie i owned on DVD was on TV I might stop and watch it but I would never just pop it in the DVD player. Now I restrict myself to ONLY buying the titles I really love and old classics.

I usually buy 2 or 3 games a month, sometimes a new release plus games that are more than 1 year old (on sale). I don't spend money on games just for the sake of it, seems pointless really.

If your problem is not wanting to miss anything *and* you don't want to wait... then you do have to buy all you can afford. I just buy want I'm intersted in and then let reviews and word-of-mouth help me "discover" what I missed. I also wait on good prices. I don't feel left out that I waited a couple of months for a 1/2 price deal for Skyrim. That way I feel like it's a bargain if I buy a little DLC for games I love (like Mass Effect 2).

I only buy games that I am pretty confident will be good, so I would consider myself very selective. I do not buy games on a whim, ever.
