Do you ever enjoy games more the second or third time you play through them?

Most of the time I play a game through once and then maybe if it was really good, a month or two later, I'll play it again.

For example, back in April I bought Borderlands. I played through it once, thought it was great but couldn't really get around to my second playthrough even after a few months passed. Then about 2 weeks ago I picked the game up again. I started a new character and instantly loved the game. All of a sudden it felt so addicting to level up and find new and better weapons. I just finished my second playthrough of that character and I'm about to move on to The Secret Armory DLC. I can't explain what changed in those few months, however now this game has to be in on my top 5 games for my 360.

Have you ever experienced something like this?

Some games have a natural way of making it playable again and again. Dead Rising was a good example, you could always go through it many times. I also really liked Hitman Blood Money because I could go through each mission many times without it getting old. But for the most part I think some games are really tough to go through again simply because it becomes a chore.

Besides Halo, because of multiplayer games I almost never find myself playing through a game twice, no matter how good it is. Partially to do with not so much free time, partially to do with the plethora of good games that are out there and keep coming out.

Borderlands. I did not like it the first time I tried it. Gave it another try mainly because I thought the Zombie Island DLC was very interesting (I love zombies). I ended up loving it. Very addicting with 4 player co-op. Others include Portal, Crysis, Mass Effect 1.
