You get a sense of personal pride knowing that persistent onlineevidence exists of some of your funnest and most challenging gaming moments, or some of your most embarrassing games played.
They should give you something for getting so much GS. Like when you reach 10000 you get to pick from like 3 arcade games to download and when you get your first 100% in a game you can get something.

yeah but the only downfall to that is all the people that played that stupid avatar game would get 1000 in like 2 mins

yeah and all of those 06 sports games. The 100% completion would probably not be a good idea but the get so many points and get an arade game thing would be cool. They would never do it though because MS is way to cheap.what they should do is ,for example if you manage to reach 1000 on Bionic Commando, thats coming out in a few weeks, allow you to buy Bionic Commando rearmed for free or something like that with Street fighter 4 and other games
that's not a bad idea. All the new games that are based off of old games that are on XBLA. Get 100% in them and you can buy the old versions of them for free. Banjo Kazooie would work also.what they should do is ,for example if you manage to reach 1000 on Bionic Commando, thats coming out in a few weeks, allow you to buy Bionic Commando rearmed for free or something like that with Street fighter 4 and other games

istill dont get why some people think they deserve a reward for playing a video game
SrgtSaggy101
this is true. the one thing that they should do though is at least when you beat a game, they should reward you with like a gamerpic or cheats or something, nothing too big like a free game download. just a lil sum sum
thats what i dont get. if you dont get any thing for gs then why even bother trying to get gs? I'm not saying that i'd avoid an acheivment its just that i dont understand those people who just care about acheivments and not the game itself, like i know people who buy games strictly to get points. i mean...get a life
Obviously the same people who claim to have "worked hard" in their games.istill dont get why some people think they deserve a reward for playing a video game

Some games do. Gears of War or Mass Effect for example. Beat it on insane and get a gamerpic. They could also offer like a costume for your avatar or something but demanding MS points or free games is just crazy talk.[QUOTE="ufcfan1987"]Some games do. Gears of War or Mass Effect for example. yeah i could care less about free games or ms points but alot more in game rewards or stuff like your avatar's clothes would be nice to redeem.

If you don't care about GS then that's perfectly fine. I have been guilty of caring more about points than the game itself *cough* avatar *cough*. What I don't get is that you don't seem to understand or share in the competitive spirit. That ALONE fuels most people to get their score ever-higher. Yes, easy achievements somewhat detract from this point but even that is part and parcel to the competition - everyone can do the easy ones, but who can do the hardest ones? I STILL don't have the Mile High Club achievement, but some of my friends do, so it compels me to continue to try to get that one instead of just giving up in frustration (and PLEASE no conceited comments about how "easy" that achievement was to get ... if it was easy to get everyone who played COD4 would have it).
Your comment about how people like me who strive to add to their GS should get a life is an easy dismissal but I am sure people who work hard, play hard and live hard probably have more going on than you think.

You didn't get anything for gaming before achievements existed. And obviously someone who doesn't game for the exact same reasons you do needs to get a life.
