Yea, my 360 makes the noise. I traded my other one in because it made the same noise and also had disk read errors with Oblivion. I got my new one from an entirely different place, so I thought it must be the games.X360NowPS3LaterCould be either I guess. My 360 is really quiet.
My 360 makes a weird noise from the disc drive when you first turn it on, but it doesn't make this noise. I wish you luck. I am on #6.
From the 360? 360s make noises a lot.Trickshot771
Yea they are very noisy. I've gotten used to the discomfort. ;)
But....it's stupid. Microsoft wastes so much money by having so many consoles returned, and so many people scared away from buying it.X360NowPS3LaterWell, it's only in the 3-5% ratio. So since 95% of them are fine, I don't think they are losing all that much money. I think they even have an extra 40 billion laying around.

It's against the law to state otherwise to the shareholders and public. It's illegal, and the Better Business Bureau can instill hefty fines in lawsuits if the opposite were true.

I already let the BBB know about my situation. I have been through 6. They all had good ventilation, and had a fan by them to keep it from overheating. That is ridiculous.

You probably did experience that. I myself went through 4 PS2's which was frustrating as heck as well. But my 360 runs 24 hours a day with no issues and runs quiet (with a little hum).
