I have a Pro right now (basically, HDMI-enabled Premium). Though if I have to replace this one, I may just go ahead and pony up the extra cash to upgrade to the Elite model, since I'm finding myself using a lot of the hard drive space as it is now.
I have the pro. Don't really plan on downloading tons of stuff because I think it's pretty stupid to pay $50 a year for live and then pay more to watch a movie or a TV show (really, what does the $50 go towards? you still have to pay for everything you download, they're not spending it on dedicated servers... it is definitely the best online console gaming service, but where's the cost that justifies that amount?)... so 20gigs is plenty for my needs. I do like the black better, but not enough to spend that much more money.
I got the elite. Basically cause I was sure that it has the falcon tecnology. And when I bought it the shop only had elites or the halo3 edition which I didn't like much
Why do us Arcade/Core owners always get the shaft? Nobody ever remembers us, LOL. Anyway, I got the Arcade for $250 thanks to CompUSA's liquidation sale. I then bought a 20GB HDD on ebay for $67 shipped and a headset for $6 shipped. So I spent $323 for a Premium/Pro.
Elite 5months old and being repaired. Core I bought at launch and died before warranty extension fixed my self and still working. M$ needs to stop playing and put better heat sinks and fans in the consoles.
All 3 models (core, elite, and premium) all have the same graphcis capabilities, the video cards and cpus are the same. Just the ahrd drives and wired/wireless controllers are different. If you ahve a core, you can buy a hard drive, so you aren't screwed in anyway.
I got an elite, because i found one on ebay for the price of a core. Turns out it was brand new not even opened. Gotta love 'web deals'
Elite. I got it because it was black and matched my PS3 and the rest of my entertainment setup. If the Wii came in black, I'd think harder about getting one of those too.
I have the pro because I figure that 20 gig is good enough for downloading demos and saving games, because all I really want the machine for is playing games. Then with the $100 I saved not buying a elite, I just bought all three editions of Halo and I'm having a blast playing them. Wish I bought the 360 sooner, can't believe this system has been out 2 years already! I have lots of catching up to do.
Got the HDMI Premium Halo 3 bundel cause i didnt need the extra HD space even though i love the color of the elite and i bought a second black controller
I was a cheap bastard so I got the Premium. Now I'm kicking myself after seeing the Elite price drop and the little space I have now and frankyl, I'm not willing to divy up another 170 bucks for a 120 GB HDD
