I bought ninja gaiden 2 (US version) 2 weeks ago and i enjoyed every moment playing the game, (it's very hardcore, bloody and fun) untill some problems i have noticed started to show up many times when i play the game.
so, do you have these problems (lags) in your copy? : 1. my first problem appeared in chapter 2 when you must take the the rod of trials from the alter for the test of valor, i killed every single ninja in this area but the candles didn't lit, i tried to look for ninjas mybe i didn't kill but there were none, i loaded the game from the last save point i killed alll the ninjas in the area and guess what the the alter's candles have been lit (what was that !!?)
2.some times when i enter the leaderboards the game just freazes and i can't do anything (even i can't go to the dashboard)
3.some times when i go to the test of valor portal to enter it the portal looks like when you finish the test (ruined and not lit whith the blue light), i load the game and guess what the portal is lit and fine WTF!!?
so please if anyone knows if my copy has problems or do you encounter the same things?
i never had any of these problems during play, you could just have a faulty disk or xbox. The only problem i faced was in chapter 12 when the game started having insane frame rate issues
1. Some people seem to think that you must not go up the hill to far or the candle cut scene will not trigger, stay in the courtyard when you kill everything.
2. A lot of peoples game freezes when viewing the leaderboards, don't scroll to fast and it shouldn't be to bad, they need to patch it.
3.The game has a lot of glitches, it's not your disk. :)
Ive stopped playing the game altogether b/c im too pissed at it.
I was on chapter 12 and went into one of the rooms and killed all the mobs out. After they were dead I went back a bit and used the save tower thing and then turned off the game b/c I needed to leave.
So when I come back the next day I open up the save file and im in the room that I previously cleared out, there are no mobs inside of it, BUT there is that forcefield thing up blocking my way out.
So I basically glitched the game out and I'm stuck at this one part.

I only quoted the 2 I can address.
1) Did you jump over the fence to grab the Rod? It took me a while to figure that out. Also don't go up the stairs at all, just stand at the candle and fight the wave of enemies.
2) It does happen to me, It's internal, it's not just your copy. That sucks too because you have to upload before you save. So if it freezes you have to do the level over.
My game also freezes when viewing the leaderboards, the franerate can also be sometimes horrible. Also when theres alot of enemies the game run on 56k dsl
I've had the first two happen. I've had the leaderboards freeze a few times and had the first one happen to me one time. I don't know what I might have been doing wrong but no ninjas were spawning no matter how long I waited or where I stood.
As the above poster said, the game just has a lot of glitches and the more you play, the more glitches you'll come across. The other night on Chapter 6 when I was fighting a pack of those metallic things with boobs, I saw one of their tails moving around the screen like it was alive with no upper body. I thought it was just a harmless glitch until all of a sudden, I started receiving melee damage from a mostly invisible enemy. So there's just odd stuff that happens in this game from time to time.
