Project Natal is going to be good if it works like how it said they would.

why would it ruin gaming?
did the Wii ruin gaming, or the Eyetoy?
or even Guitae Hero, or Rockband?

I agree with the above post, if they do it the way the present it, then it will be good. I dont see it ruining gaming though...seriously, people wont buy or play it if they dont like it, and continue playing the games they did before. Milo looks awesome though, you cant deny that.

It looks very interesting but I think it may be a little bit overambitious.

Project Natal look like a waste of time and money to me. I'm afraid of Microsoft putting everything into this, and forgetting actual video games.

Its not over ambitious, its just a bunch of old tech put together in one place and improved upon. Even the Milo thing is old technology, just like motion controls are old tech, but its new to gaming. As a motion control device its pretty meh, doing thing without any form of feedback is not immersive at all. I don't mean like rumble what I mean by that is like air swinging a baseball bat is not the same as saying using the Wiimote, the feel of something in your hand and the sound of the crack of the bat coming from the Wiimote way more immersive than Natal. I would like to see the voice recognition and image scanning tech put to use in narrative heavy games sort of like a Mass Effect or Heavy Rain type game. However I never expect much to come out of this because MS will never seriously back it.

Meh, it's ok I guess nothing new. Not really bothered by it since it will never officially replace the controller. I think 'ruin' is way to strong a word for it though. Just changing the gaming experience to a small degree.

If it's implemented in the way they say it's going to be , then it's going to be great! Imagine when they'll produce the regular games (fpses , rts's , racing etc etc ... ) for the Natal combined with the graphics of the xbox 360 it'll be revolutionizing and might just bring down the nintendo wii . in the start they're probably make some sports game etc to test the capabilites of it .

what makes you think it won't ever replace a controller?

it's just a dumb gimmick, good luck making a fun game out of a motion capture camera. playing virtual soccer goalie might be fun to 40 year old housewives but I know what a real game is.

the only cool thing is that it signs in your profile by seeing you, but again that's more of a gimmick than a real improvement.

Project Natal is going to ruin gaming, but it is going to be a gimmick like the eyetoy.
