I have only played the single player.
I would like to know what other people think about the MP mode.
It seems like a cool idea to me.
I thought I would try it after hearing good things about it. I joined a death match type of game, basically it was a bunch of badly drawn characters running around a park at night shooting each other with weak weapons.
It was probably the lamest thing I've played this generation, what surprised me was the amount of people playing it. People were actually lining up to play this crap.
I turned it off after about 20 minutes and never went back to it, pure ****.
You haven't seen Hour of Victory's multiplayerm but yeah, I grew tired of GTA IV's multiplayer at some point as well, but it did have some good modes.I thought I would try it after hearing good things about it. Maybe I was unfair on the game in my previous post, I should have tried out some other modes before slating the game like that. I'm a big fan of GTA, maybe I expected to much from the multiplayer. I'll give it another go tomorrow.
For the record I like the single player game a lot. I think the city is incredible, Rockstar done a great job on it. Shame they didn't include more things to do. Maybe DLC will fix the issues I have with it.
It was fun when it first came out. Now it just feels really boring. Especially the AA rooms. Its like you spawn... kill 1 guy then you die... rinse and repeat. It got waaay to tedious.
Free roam is still a blast with your friends though.
In all honestly I was rather disappointed by GTA4's multiplayer. Although there was lots of interesting modes the aiming system was crap and it was mind-numbingly repetitive.
[QUOTE="PlasmaBeam44"]I love it. Over the summer my friends and I would play online constantly.TX360
but if you base it on what you have played lately you have come to your senses and played great games like guitar hero 3 and skate lol.
Yeah GH3 and Skate are great, I don't get what your saying.
As surprising as it may be, I never touched the multiplayer in GTA IV. I owned it back when they were all having freezing issues and every time I tried to enter multiplayer it would freeze.
