the single player portion of both games are good.

multiplayer:

cod4 - ranks, tons and tons of unlockables, extremely satisfying multiplayer

halo3 - ranks, forge, video capture, extremely satisfying multiplayer

the only major difference is in the story and setting. i like both, but i'm waiting for halo 3 to go on sale before getting it.

Alright well, I prefer COD4 a bit more than halo. Im not a huge fan of Halo 3, I just thought it was a let down. Too much hype was placed behind it, and i dont feel that it was all it could be. It was just a polished Halo 2 in my book. COD4 multiplayer is ALOT better IMO. It just adds something that other games dont do. Although I do prefer Halo campaign over COD4's. But what i didnt like, and whats not new to halo series, is guess what....Another cliff hanger.

But anyways, COD4 in the end.

halo3 was easy to but the online multiplayer is so much more advanced and cooler. i would rather rank up in a future environment that in a real life one.

Although the COD4 multiplayer is good the ranks are stupid. When u get to level 50 u can redo the ranks. what is the point in that. lol

Imagine halo 3 and trying to get to general all over again. Thats like 200,000 wins or somefin like that mate.

Bungie also make regular updates to game types and maps.

for example the heroic maps and new game modes like team BR's.

well i suppose that it is achoice between the two i would choose Halo 3 if u are looking for a playable no repetitive game. Online is a massive improvement than halo 2

I think the online in CoD 4 is better, the problem is that I get booted disconnected in the middle of the game. Also the "Connetion Problem" message with the icon appears on the screen and I'm pretty sure it's not just me because I also hear other players complaining about the same thing at exactly the same time. Also yesterday Team Deathmatch wasn't working for some reason so I had to play free-for-all, there's nothing wrong with that it's just that has never happened with Halo 3.

FIrst of all, if you read the post you'd know what my refutation was to the argument. The argument was that you stated that CoD4 had"nothing new." My refutation to that was that the online perks are new. Which clearly brings down your argument that CoD4 has "nothing new," and I wasn't arguing why the online perks make it better.

The Argument is that CoD4 does have something new, and I've proven that with the above statement. Therefore, you lose the debate.

if you noticed the news today on the front page of gamespot, it says the total sales of halo 3 are at 8.1 million now. and no, i didnt lose the debate because just stating that CoD4 has online perks doesnt mean you win. i could just as easily say Halo 3 has online perks, because every gametype you can play online. and unlike you, i back up my reasons for why things are better.

It doesn't though. I'm talking about the perks such as deep impact, juggernaut, stopping power, iron lungs, etc.

Halo 3 doesn't have that.
