my opinion is that more people like to play easy games? i mean lets compare cod4 and halo3. cod4 is a really easy game, i mean it really just takes no skill to kill someone online, im a level 44, no prestige and i can go up againts people who are in there 4 or 5 prestige and there is no real difference bewteen me and them (we usually get the same amount of kills). sure halo is not the hardest game out there but it does take skill to play online, you cant just go up to a guy and kill them with two shots like in cod. another comparison is gears and r6 vegas. sure they both take skill but r6 is a really hard game to play online and i think thats why a lot of people didnt buy r6 vegas.

do you prefer to play easy shooters online like cod or do you prefer to play games that take skill to play online like r6 vegas?

If i am getting you right you are talking about the auto-aim crap in COD4 and similar games (GRAW) where you pull a trigger that aims you on an emey = takes no skill to pull trigger and shoot. Where a game (even Halo) you have to manually aim.

If thats right I preffer skilled like R6V (eventhough though for me to play since I got it late) opposed to COD4.

I think thats the reason alot of 360 owners are putting Halo 3 multiplayer down because they simply arent good enough with CoD4 you can just run around throwing greneades and getting 1 shot kills with an M16, but with Halo you start with basic weapons and have to find the one you find most effective and you have the shields which make the needs for headshots essential. I have shot people in the legs on CoD and they have died. so to sum up my rant people definitely prefer unskilled shooters to skilled. Obviously CoD requires some skill but not on the same level as Halo.

Rainbow Six is hard, Gears of War is not hard for me because I'm amazing, but majority of the people are horrible at Geras so that means they're finding it hard I guess.

It's interesting how people with no skill think the games they're good at are the ones that require skill.

A lot of people bought RSV, that's probably why there's a sequel and all these ladders for MLG tournaments and sponsorships.

How about...do I play fun games? The answer would have to be yes. If it's fun, I play it. This no skill or more skilled bs is getting pretty old.

no i didnt meen it like that i meen people will just randomly spam grendades at the beginning of a match and yes it does require skill to stick someone in halo unless there directly infront of you.

and to whoever said it you where right this is slowly startin to become a

cod vs halo

I think they both take skill. But I'm significantly better at Call of Duty 4 than Halo 3. And I've put in about the same amount of time on both. When I was new at COD4, I picked up on the multiplayer rather quickly and sometimes easily made top 3 in most matches. In Halo 3, it's more mixed. I win some, I lose some. In COD4, I'm consistent.

I seriously fail to see the logic here. In each multiplayer game, in the end the number of kills and deaths will be even. It's not like everybody can always go 10-5, someone always has to die more times than they kill. So that means that some people are more skilled than others at that particular game. In COD 4 skills come down to playing smart while in Rainbow Six it's more about who can aim better. It's all about the particular game you're playing.

obviously they both take skill. also COD4 and halo3 are very different style FPS-es. COD4 is more twitch based (not like quake but its fast) halo3 is slower paced, and a little more tactical. but games like R6V are really different FPS-es, they are very tactical and need a lot of strategy. as for me? i just play whats fun.

your saying Halo 3 takes skill????? That's the weirdest thing I've heard all day. I prefer strategic shooters, not Halo 3. COD4 you can't just run around smashing the b button. It doesn't work.

stop being so ignorant...plasma grenades arn't easy to usee...unless its a direct hit its very hard to kill somebody, grenade kills in halo don take hours to perfect but they are much harder than in cod4. Its not often in halo that you begin a mach down 5 kills because the other team aims straight up into the air and throws grenades, which happen to be impossiblee to get away from. at least in halo there is a certain radius that will kill you, ad another that will hurt you. in cod4 its 20 feeet of kill radius and then ur safe, if the is a grenade indicator tHAN your screwed...u cant get away unless u do a 180 and sprint long enough to get lucky.

i like cod4 alot but it doesnt take any more skill than halo, and halo has no retarted one hit kills with a p90 while the person does nothing but spin around and hope a bullet hits you.

I cannot believe this thread was started. If there was anytime for a facepalm picture, it would be now.

All shooters take skills in different ways. I don't understand why some people think that Halo 3 requires no skill or that Call of Duty 4 takes no skill.

how lame would call of duty be if you could with stand a clip from a p90? i mean what do you want. Not everyone is master chief so how do you expect them to take so many shots.

Call of duty is all about getting yourself in a position where you get the first shot, so that you have the advantage.

I'm so tired of these topics between COD4 and Halo 3. All I am going to say is it takes the same amount of shots to kill someone as it does for that person to kill you. And to answer the question I prefer games that take skill such as COD4 and Gears of War.
