I love the master chief character but I must admit that once in a while trying something new is the right decision. I don't feel the universe is abused tho, as long as they use new material based in the universe and make great games with it I'm all for it. Just look at Star Wars games, some of them have been amazing , KOTOR or Jedi Knight series, even though the universe has been used a lot the games can still be amazing.

Dude, Peter Jackson is one of the best in the biz. If they give him the virtually unlimited budget that will be necessary, the Halo movies could be amazing. Not sure if you've heard of his last trilogy, The Lord of the Rings? Yeah, it was pretty good, you should probably check that out.nfrillman

They're not talking about the movies, Peter Jackson got rights to make his own game trilogy. I know he's a gamer though, so if he can make the same level of games as his movies, then they should be pretty darn good.

QFT. And I don't know about anyone else but I played halo wars last night and was impressed. My standards were not high and I was frustrated that it wasn't coming to PC, but after playing the demo I have new hopes for this game and it could be a buy lol.

Halo is already abused. Personally Im already sick of halo's mp and nonsense storyline; the RTS looks like a cash cow..PureDante

Halo 3 is a mere shell of Halo and Halo 2 in all categories, and now they're putting out ODST. I don't disagree with Halo Wars, it was the original idea that Halo was to be an RTS, but H3 and ODST are not by any means the games that Halo 1&2 had been built up to be.

You can pretty much ask anyone who played H1/2 a lot, H3 is nothing but a shadow.

thing is madden is a sport game so it can be revamped and new player, teams, game modes ETC halo is made up so they would constantly have to make new stories weapons monster gameplay feature etc
