nope, dont think so unless they go a la halo and 3 ends the story but keep producing prequels.. also (BOOK 2 SPOILERS) Its heavily hinted that dom has suicidal toughts, and they IMO shape up a possible Anya death (not directly mentioned tough, just hinted at some lines , like, when you try to tell her it might be too late and such)
If I could guess, the next Carmine will live (Seems like they'd mix it up a bit) and either Dom or Marcus will die at the end, with Cole, Baird, Anya or someone else significant dying near the middle of the game. We'll see though, I bet I'm way off. :P
Dom's probably going to sacrifice himself to save everyone because he has nothing to live for or whatever. Then it'll turn out he survived and everyone will be happy! I really hope that's not how it ends -_-

Lol call me a dreamer but heres what I think is gonna happen... Well if there is a Carmine he's most likely gonna die and then like 1 third through the game Marcus is gonna do something super heroic....Everyone will think he's dead and you'll play as someone else until some locust is about to kill you and you just here *Vmmmmm* and thats Marcus sawing a locust to save your life. Possible people to die Dom= After Maria...He's royally ****ed. Carmine= No explanation needed Baird= He aint got no luck Marcus= At the end of the game, he'll save the world but most likely give his life in the progress Call me a dreamer!!
I'm doubting there will even be a Carmine in Gears 3, we are already getting 3 new squad members to go along with the original 4, if anyone dies it'll be Dom, Anya or Marcus, I also think that Hoffman will die.

I really see a Marcus and Anya thing by the way he talks to her when talking casually and when he looks at her, but then again I have only played gears 1&2 and only have read the first issue of the gears comics.

good question i think. I'm kinda mixed on this because i can see scenario of him dieing as a sacrifice for humanity but i can also see someone else dieing for the same reason. I do lean more toward the scenario of him not dieing tho.

What if they all die and the new lambent locust take over the world? That would be a wtf moment as well although i can hear the screams from people everywhere on the boards of how they killed off the best franchise etc etc....
