Now i saw project Natal and it looks pretty cool but im a little sceptical about it (if i spelled that right). I'm a little sceptical because of the game your in the movies.

if you ever played that game the camera effect works like crap. probably because its a crappy game but still its crap.

So im a little scared for project Natal.

If its a success good for them but if its not..... i dunno but it will be bad

It's very possible. I think if bundled with a game and sold at a good price it could be very successful.

I just saw a video of it and i was like "Dayum!". Looks pretty promising. First MGS:R, then Forza, now Natal. I am definately getting a 360 now

Altough the video hardout reminds me of those freaky WII lifestyle videos.

meh, its hard to tell. Your in the movies looked awesome by the previews but the game was crap because of how impossible it was to take a decent cut out, thus ruining the game.

Looks promising, but could fail so easily. Is there any time table for it's release?

different technology than in the movies. It looks pretty revolutionary, obviously though it will remain mainly casual until some talented developer can do some really cool stuff, but it has potential and it's right now looking like a suped up HD wii type thing. And I like casual stuff as well. Give me Natal peggle and I'm set.

When I saw Project Natal first thing that came to mind is that you don't have to buy all kinds of peripherals like balance boards, skate board peripherals, stuff like that. Natal has potential. I'm interested in using the Natal intsead of all these peripherals.

It could fail, if microsoft doesn't urge developers enough to develop games that utillizes the thing. I'd hate to see it happen like it did with the wii. The only games that truly used the motion feature was mediocore games with the mii's released by nintendo.

It looks really cool, i think it was pretty damn cool. It all comes down to how they'll sell it and how they'll package it. Plus the software for it.

Also if done well this could really give Nintendo a run for its money. that's right i said it.

i do understand all the skepticism about this, and i'ma bit skeptical myself, but, if it works the way it is supposed to, i can see this being the next giant leap in gaming. i could care less about all these mini games, but facial, object, and vocal recognition could be used in very interesting ways. I keep imagining playing something like mass effect, fallout and having you speakfor your character. and having the npc's respond similar to Peter Molyneux's milo demo.

If the 3d motion tracking works properly, which, it looked pretty solid from the stage demos, i could make for really interesting beat em up games, shooters, even rpg. This is a great idea, and i really hope it works out well, but sometimes you just want to sit back, and use a controller. The price tag, and games that will support it will determine how well this does.

I wasn't too bothered about it before the conference, but it did look fun - especially the ball game using your whole body. The painting looked slightly awkward though.

It looked good and they're not done yet but there's still a chance it will fail. It just looks extremely promising because it recognizes small movement. Unlike anything else.

I think if they work on it long enough and don't rush to start selling it then it will do good. All I know is even when it does come out I'll wait till it goes down in price sinec I'm guessing a $250.00-400 price tag.

Its actualy kind of scary for me. And i use that term losely lol. I just worry that IF this type ofthing catchs on and replaces the controler i'll be forced to just stop gameing. i know after working hard all day i will not want to act out every thing to play a game. plus not every one is 16 years of age and has that amount of energy to put into playing games. at leat in action games ect. I def dont want to have to stand in frount of my tv and do karate kicks to play a action or fighting game.

This has been attempted in many ways with multiple types of technology. It looked very fun but I am usually somewhat let down after my first experience with new, exciting technology.

Not to say it will fail, I know enough to say it won't fail. I think it will take time and innovative software designers to come up with a good use for it.

I could definitely see this as another good step forward for games(as long as M$ doesn't make us use this for every game) and the way they are controlled.

I have a prediction that eventually a stereoscopic camera will be used to track a person in 3D.

It has potential, but if it becomes dificult to code for developers won't wat to use it. Also, it depends on how many games support it andwhat type of games can practically support it (how would anFPS really work with it? What about a skating game where movements are slight?). Still, it's time for dual analog to retire -- that technology is basically from the 1970's.

It wasn't bundled with the system, as such the peripheral will be short lived. I still don't think it has much appeal for anyone that CAN use a controller. Remember this tech is to branch out to those that are intimidated by the modern controller (at least that is how they kept presenting it)... which means it doesn't appeal to me at all.

Without getting in to a system war, there are much better ways to control a video game. The controller is the only thing holding me back from owning a 360.

Well I have played many other ways and prefer a controller. Even when I play games on my friends PC I use his wired xbox 360 controller.

I agree, I think it has great potential, but it needs to be very precise to work right, if it is as imprecise and gimmicky as the eyetoy it surely won't get very far. From the list of technologies it is composed of and the footage we have seen so far though I would say it looks great.

It's got potential, if they go all out and target casuals it'll fail. Need to target the people that really care. Simple.

has the potential to make the 360 an essential purchase for everyone. casual gamers and hardcore gamers alike will all want a 360, plus its only £130 - less than half ps3 price.

I think that if they price it at a descent price it could do very well but with all the technolegy there puting into it i dont think a low price is likely.

Who knows how well it will do, but for those hoping it will fail because they don't like the idea of it replacing the controller in your hand, don't worry. It is not going to suddenly and completely take over how we control every single game on the 360 and future MS consoles. Like the Wii, I think there will be some niche games for it, but for more traditional games, it will likely be used as some sort of enhacement to the game not critical to it's base functionality.
