This question dawned upon myself earlier on. The reason that I am wondering is because I realised that every other Quake game has been released and can be played on the Xbox 360, which dates back to 1997! (not including the original, of course). These include:
Quake II (can be played after purchasing Quake 4 as a bonus disc within the game, includes achievements, almost like an XBLA game that wasn't actually released on XBLA)
Quake III: Arena (called Quake Arena Arcade on the 360, with a brand new (I think anyway) campaign that was put together using multiplayer maps and bots. Is on XBLAas of lastDecember
Quake 4 - released as a disc which features the above Quake II.
Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars (prequelto Quake II, more like a Battlefield game)
Then the next game that Wikipedia states is Quake Live, which is basically just a browser version of Quake III, which is already on Xbox Live Arcade.
So the only Quake game that we are missing is the original. Do you guys ever think that it will be released on XBLA, and would you be interested if it is? :)
