I do if they're not too time consuming. If they're basically like doing a chore then I won't do it, but if they're fun then I'll have at it. For example, I'm not going to go back to Saints row and try and finish all activities in order to get those achievements because the activities are so boring.
For most games, I look at the achievement list and see whats easy to do, and I do them, but I am definitely NOT going to beat the game 5 times on different difficulties to get achievements.
Yeah i know man, I have a life and don't have time to do that impossible type, boring stuff. Besides if all it gives you is 10 gamerscore points then why do it? I play games for fun when I don't have anything else better I could be doing, I'm not goign to dedicate all my time to do boring things in a game just to get an achievement.
Most games i try to get al of them. I usually just forget about getting achievements that require you to collect hundreds of things scattered around the game world (like GTAIV's pigeons and Assassin's Creed's flags)
yes cuz internet is not avilable were i live.. so i get all the acheavments..iv just got my gamer score up to 16,000 yesterday on cuz of ninja gaiden 2 ..700 more points
Usually I grab about as many as I can get on 2 playthroughs. I don't think I could play something like Mass Effect where I'd probably have to go through 5 or 6 times anyway to get 1000/1000.
I used to Point wh0re but I quit my GS is 68.000 but I do try to get certain ones or if I trade games in I make sure to get some Achievements from them first.
I usually just play through the games an don't worry about achievements. I will only go out of my way to get an achievement if it's really easy to get.
It really depends on the achievement and how much I like the game. Like for Lego Indy, I am only 2 away from getting all of them, and I find it fun enough to play until I get them all, but for games like Conan (horrible game) I just don't care enough to play it again to get all the achievements.
Nope, i just played the game as it goes along but if i notice an achievement that doesnt look hard to get, i would do it but i dont try and get every achievement possible.
That's basically me. But if it's an objective to get like x of something in a game. As I am doing all of the simple ones, I will try to collect as many of that item as I see, and maybe if I get close enough finish the last of them off. Such as in crackdown, the agility orbs, I'm over 400 of them down. But the pay off of getting them as well is it gets me closer to the master agent achievement.
It feels cheap when you complete a game and end up with only 100 gamerpoints. Some games will do that, like Graw 1 & 2. It's ridiculous I think. I'd like to see more of a 50/50 offline and online achievement list. Most of the achievements are online play which is retarded. Some of us would much rather prefer to replay the story mode and if takes some rather cool achievements to motivate us to play a game a game, that would be great. I find some of the achievements overwhelming like some of the Gears of Wars achievements at the bottom of the list. Achievements like 100 curbstomps in ranked matches is easy but a certain few are downright brutal.
I don't care at all about achievements. I can only think of one time off the top of my head where I actually did something I wouldn't normally do to get an achievement, and that was getting the "Friends like These" achievement in TF2.
No. I get the ones that I get on the first play through, then I will see if the achievements help branch out my play any... if they do I will try to play the game differently so I can see what other experience I can get out of it. But for the most part the achievement points are nothing more than 'ideas' of how else to play the game that I try out.
